Joseph_Swolin Posted March 31, 2023 Posted March 31, 2023 the allies need better tanks in late war its almost impossible to beat panthers in early t-34s and KV-s the only tanks who can reliably kill a panther are the su-122 and isu-152 allies need something like t-34-85 or IS series tanks to make it balanced included are two pictures depicting the tanks, the painting is the IS-2 and the real image is the T-34-85?? 1
JV44HeinzBar Posted March 31, 2023 Posted March 31, 2023 S!, It's doubtful we'll ever see t34/85 or IS2 with the current TC, which is based on battles near Kursk. Neither of the tanks you mentioned where there during those battles. I would suspect, if TC2 is ever made, it might include the above mentioned tanks, but don't hold your breath for TC2 to be made. Avimimus Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 (edited) Or worse Axis tanks - early model Panzer IV, Panzer 38(t), Panzer II ? That'd also solve the problem! P.S. I know it is the general wisdom that the devs believe that an early war armoured scenario is a non-starter at this point in time - you don't have to tell me yet again. I'm just observing that in 1941 the KV-1 and T-34 overmatched a lot of German tanks (and the T-26 outmatched some of them)! The Matilda II and Char 1 Bis were also potentially pretty competitive in 1939 too. 6 hours ago, JV44HeinzBar said: S!, It's doubtful we'll ever see t34/85 or IS2 with the current TC, which is based on battles near Kursk. HB It took me a long time to pick up Tank Crew 1 (partly because the free tanks weren't that impressive) - but if Tank Crew II came with a casemate tank (Jagdpanzer IV or 38(t) and PTRD or Bazooka teams... I'd definitely pre-order it). The IS-2 would be pretty impressive too. Edited April 1, 2023 by Avimimus

S!, You can usually damage the gun/gun optics on the big cats with shots to the turret using HE rounds. I know it sounds goofy, but it's a proven tactic in TC. HB
Frinik22 Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 (edited) Not to mention that the JS-2 in real life had a very slow rate of fire as the 122 mm shells needed to be put together which resulted in 1 1/2 to 2 shots a minute. Even the late version had an equally low rate of fire and both versions carried only 28 shells; 12 AP and 16 HE. The T34/85 carried only 50 shells and the 85mm D5 or C53 guns were only performing as good as the Kwk40 L48 not on par with th Kwk36 L56 of the Tiger I or the Kwk42 L 70 of the Panthers. The T34/85 had a better turret and better optics then the T34/76 model but the ergonomics were bad and the front armour was no better than that of its predecessor. If they introduced either of these tanks based on their real life characteristics it would not make such a huge difference.in terms of balance. Both Tiger and Panther could take the T34/85 at long distances while the T34/85 would need to be close to take on both cat's front armour. The JS/IS2 were breakthrough tanks not meant for tank-to-tank combat. The IS1 or KV85 would not be too bad better balanced in my opinion. Edited April 6, 2023 by Frinik22 1 4
[CPT]milopugdog Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 An SU-85 would be nice, but unfortunately it doesn't quite fit the Kursk timeline we have currently. It's cutting it close, but not quite. 1
Frinik22 Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 (edited) True. But logically the developers could expand the current Prokhorovka/Kursk scenario to includes the Mius offensives of August 1943 and introduce the SU-85. Edited April 27, 2023 by Frinik22 1 1
[SN]_Reaper_ Posted May 10, 2023 Posted May 10, 2023 That's it, there will be no better Allied tanks, no German tanks, no others. @Han said the following in the last streamer's chat. I used a translator, I hope the meaning will be clear. Han Tanks depend on Digital Forms. If the guy thinks-there will be tanks. Han Yugra here is thought RoF completely reincarnated. Maybe the guys from St. Petersburg will decide to continue to make a cool theme. History in games Daniil Tuseyev I really hope so, the tanks in your game - a unique content, which now has no equal in any other game. Han History-write appeals to DF through their website. Stimulate )) They need to know that their players are waiting for them too. The guys did an awesome job. 1

Funny thing, I actually did what Han recommended and sent Digital Forms a message on their website. Wrote something like "Hello, I enjoy your modelling of the tanks in IL2 Tank Crew very much, especially the KV-1s. I would be glad if there was more to come." =AD=uumembwa Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 Gaijin pay so money and give so more job for DF - that means they do not work with our tanks anyway. Even if we spam their website - messages is not equal real money... RIP TC? 2

RIP TC? yep... and even if we all send request mails, how many of us are in the TC community? not sure that we are very numerous, or rather numerous enough... come on, maybe other modders will appear and they will lay nice mods and campaign to keep it alive?
Leon_Portier Posted May 11, 2023 Posted May 11, 2023 I'm not entitled to get more TC, I'm in control of my own actions though. So I'm just gonna do my thing, like making my missions or how I sent my message to DF, I hate sitting around and complaining anyway. Or listening to it, we are so far off topic anways, I'm going to do something more fun, my TC coop event/mission is coming along nicely and its gonna be packed too 1 2
