Its repetition of the same things from DD like screenies. It doesnt bring for us, community nothing new (it was a bit of art work at first), but ok, maybe its a kind of marketing for bussines partners? Dont know. In general, I have nothing against this topic, but let it not play the main and most important role here. 2/ second, worse thing according me. It covers on the Forum more important topic - DD / Announcements ⚠️. It makes absolutely no sense here. First, you post information, and then there is a replay of the screenshots in a separate topic and ... the main thread of your work (announcements) running out due topic with shots. Example: The order is just wrong: Maybe a better idea is to give the media first, and then Announcements when it will be posted? A few times it happened that the main thread escaped me because I didn't look inside, despite the fact that I have notifications turned on. I think that for communication and marketing reasons, even the current arrangement is simply wrong. You promote photos more than content, which is more important and basically the same thing. I don't know what the rest of the our community ?thinks about this here, but please think about changing it, or at least the order of adding information. 5
Wardog5711 Posted March 25, 2023 Posted March 25, 2023 The intent of the official media thread is to host images in one common area without all the extra baggage of text or user comments. There is enough of that in the DD today and DD specific threads. Visitors and people that do not often frequent the forums can still look/download images without having to sift through anything not related to those images. Nothing from a DD gets posted there until after the DD drops, so it isn't stealing anything away from the DD.
