Some fun speculation: Henschel 123 would be a real good surprise, should be fun to fly in air-ground missions and AFAIK was used up until 1944 at Eastern Front.

No doubts, the HS 123 would be a burner! I would pre-order and pay immediately. Many times better than any other Bf 109 G6 sub variant.

Thanks also for updating the existing campaigns. Does that mean that we should pass the time until news about the engine update by replaying offline content? ?

Hate to be a downer, but.... meh....

Previous DD was for FC which I don't own and this DD is for scripted campaigns?

Good to know I won't need to bother with the update I suppose

Maybe you should buy FC ;) Just saying - that is also a solution! ? ?

If you don't own FC in GB, then you are really missing out on a wonderfull experience. Those early planes are a sight to behold in VR!

I, personally, like flying those wooden monsters at least as much as the later GB warbirds!

Already owned RoF once... not really interested in buying it again

R33GZ, RoF was not VR capable at the time. VR, for me, makes a huge difference in any type of flight sim.

So more updated/new campaigns for a game where AI wingmen can't follow basic orders in battle, defend the flight leader's six, or even stay in formation/on task, when the enemy AI all go for the player and frequently kill the human pilot instantly upon opening fire from hundreds of yards away. Do I have that right?

Black Six Are there any plans to make the Channel in the Wings over Caen more populated with more ( read any...) shipping? The developers have "built" so many ships ( and vehicle too I guess) but in gameplay the Channel resemble a completely "dead sea' as if German U=boats swept the seas of all shipping. On flights in Campaigns from England to the Normandy coast there is nothing to see but sea. It's not only disappointing, but for such a wonderfully rendered sim , completely boring ( it reminds me of long over ocean flights with nothing to do we found in IL-2 Pacific Fighters.

Protip: it's easier to get shot offline than online when your wingman disregard commands and head back to base for a cuppa and leave you 1 vs. 8 against Jerry.

Thanks for the news.

Still not 'that' update ??

'That' is likely going to take years i guess.

Increased numbers of AI? I better finish these campaigns before the update :)
My computer for some reason does not like to be near AI planes and can stutter heavily.

(CPU, GPU not utilized fully, so no bottleneck, its not weak hardware. Stutter is even worse on lower graphics settings. But power management off in bios or win10, windowed or not windowed, etc do not help)

I once again feel like it needed to be said - I understand that some features can be early access like the tactical numbers, but when the feature is final and you declare about it in the dev blod on the blog site, the feature needs to be working also from the user experience side, the UX design of this feature is lacking and hard to use.

I tried to use it but never could find the option in the game menus.
Sure you can tell me how to use it and tell me that there is a documentation, but the fact that a user find it hard to configure tactical numbers in the game menus tells that its UX design is lacking.

I am sure that forum members will criticize my post here as they did before, good for them that they were able to use it but I feel like I need to voice my feedback on this topic once again.

If I could chose, my personal order of proposed new campaigns would be:

La-5   >   Mustang Mk.III (Р-51B)   >   Bf 109 G-4   >   Fw 190 A-8   >   Bf 109 F-4

  • recently released collector vehicles will be added as AI units: Churchills Mk.IV, StuG III Ausf.G SPGs and AAA vehicles.

"Please sir, I want some more."

Are you speaking of the number you can easily add to the sides in the plane easily found in livery department in armoury options?
I am a bit confused by the name UX design

I am referring to tactical codes. As you can see in the pictures, the probability we are talking about the same thing is high.

UX design is user experience designed while designing the feature.

I totally understand that the team is small and implementing a lot of features may impact on the lack of time designing a proper UX.
I also understand that other users were able to access this feature. But as hard as I tried, even consulting here on the forums several times, I just lose myself in the menus and I could not find the option to design my own tactical numbers.

Therefore I felt the need to provide the feedback.

What I tried to do it searching this feature when choosing the skin and the ammunition for the aircraft, and I did not find it there. And also when clicking on the aircraft specificaitons on the map preioir or during the missions (while the plane is on the airfield)

Here you have a screen shot of the Tactical Code window in the skin selection tab of the plane set up selection.  You will not have the option to choose your own tactical numbers on "custom" skins, or available "official" skins that already have numbers on them.  Simply select one of the boxes that corresponds to the position on the aircraft, the highlighted "G" in the above example, select the color you want, then select the letter or number for that position, then move to the next.  It's quite simple.

What version are you running zeev? Is it possible yyou haven't run the update that contained tactical codes? It does seem odd that you can't find them. They are quite obvious and hard to miss

This question looks a bit strange because you haven't seen the campaign itself yet and you're comparing it to a career it has nothing to do with and I don't know how everything is done in the BoN career. For campaigns, I always create the scene completely from scratch, taking only destroyed buildings from the career.

You'll see ships at sea as you relocate from England to France and during take off from the new airfield in Normandy, as its direction will be always oriented towards the sea. But you need to understand that ships take resources and I always face the choice of saturating a land scene or a sea one with enough objects. Since our campaign is completely dedicated to actions against the ground enemy, I'm forced to choose the first one.

Part of the campaigns were made during the period when we had a limit of 20 aircraft at the same time in the air. Then the project was optimized and the limit increased to 30 aircraft. Now I finally take the opportunity to increase the number of objects.

Basically, this increase will affect the secondary groups of aircraft that you meet on the way to the target or back. By the time you get in the main mission area, they will already be removed from the mission or shot down, and this should not affect performance at the most crucial moment.

I think I know what I'm doing)

Any chance that the C-47 campaigns can be tweaked a bit so that the paratroops are dropped at a prototypical 800 feet or so and not 10000? 1944 is a bit early for HALO drops!

There are several options on the table: Bf 109 F-4 or La-5 on Stalingrad map, Bf 109 G-4 (Kuban), Fw 190 A-8 (Rhineland) and Mustang Mk.III (Р-51B) on Normandy map. One or more of them will be selected after the Kuban campaign.

Both Mustang III and Fw 190 on Normandy Map please ?

For the 190 I think it would be cool to actually fly an F8 campaign with SKG 10. Hit + Run Intruder and harassment bombing missions over England and especially over Bomber Command operational and training airfields. Additionally Wilde Sau missions over France. Would make an interesting mission mix.

Yes, they've done quite well with those campaigns and are making them better.
