New Intel GPUs in CloD?

Has anyone tested or seen any results how these new Intel ARC GPUs fare in CloD? Specifically in 1440p resolution. Could save a penny if they do work and I do not use VR. Just curious..

Not tested, but the higher the resolution the better are the Intel GPUs. Not sure if Intel fixed this issue already?

In 4k the Intel ARC A770 16GB is faster than the 3060 for sure. For 4k the Intel GPU is better choice from the price point with their 16 GB than the 3060.

In 1440p depends if Intel fixed their issue that their GPU can't 100% utilize their shaders in lower resolution.

However you can expect that the Intel GPU in 1440p performs between 3060 - 3070 RTX depending on what game you play.

Thanks for the info. Also did read the resizeable BAR also helps with ARC. Have to keep an eye on them as CloD has never been too taxing on system.

Yes, you really need "Resizeable BAR (ReBAR/rBAR)" for full performance.  because without it the performance can go around -40% down. And next is the VR - issue even " Tom Petersen" said do not buy it for VR at the moment. Looks like the ARC has some Hardware - issue what only "Battlemage" can fix it. However, for me are this small issue as long I not use VR + have "Resizeable BAR (ReBAR/rBAR)" enabled and don't play at 1080p.

I've not found any other reports on the wider IL2 forums so this might be useful. I haven't tested in CloD, but BoX and the Arc 750 works much better (not surprising given the age) than my 1060 6GB especially at 1440p. I run at the default High settings in game and it seems to be happy at 60 fps, the max. my monitor will show anyway. This was a quick mission so I may have to tweak on more complex missions.

My PC has reasonably new components so I use the ReBAR setting; I'd have picked a different GPU otherwise as the performance on the 750 is highly dependent on having that feature. CPU is a Ryzen 5 5600X.

In general, with the prices the Arc 750s are just now, they're excellent value. The drivers are improving with each release too and Intel seem committed to pushing ahead in the GPU space. About time too, I was beginning to think I'd be using the 1060 for many years yet!

As an update I ended up returning the Arc as it was not at all stable on my machine. Tried all sorts of fixes to no avail. Ended up with a RTX 3060. Shame because the Arc was promising.

Necroing threads FTW! Finally got my new rig up and running. Only new parts from a shop are: mobo, RAM and CPU(which was gifted to me as a late BD present!) Rest are used ones or those I had in storage. So what do you think of this setup...

AMD Ryzen 5800X3D CPU, ASUS TUF B550 Gaming mobo, Kingston Fury 2 x 16Gb DDR4 at 3600MHz/CL16, MSI RTX3060 12Gb Ventus OC GPU, WD Black 500Gb m.2 for Windows and Samsung 980Pro 1Tb for games. Controllers the same I have had before, like Virpil, MFG etc.

Had to put a like as i dig Flankers ?
I think you're gonna be able to use this config for at least the 5 next years, if you're not going into the VR moneypit.
this Cpu gen is already few years old but the new one sucks because of the mobo prices and the 3060 is an agressive beast.
Unless you want to play the latest FPS with dropping water on moving leafs on bending trees with god's rays in each bullet hole, you got a nice config that gamers from more than half of the planet would like to have.

until now,  i use a config from 2009 (CG updated and cpu OC) and actually it works great with CoD  , but because the mobo (or the ram) start showing some issues, i bought a full new config, win installed but yet, need to transfer the Raids Hdd's and 2ssd's. with this one i hope to use it for the next 10years (the cg will need a swap in 5/6 years anyway)

I built this rig to run CloD mainly. It seems to run DCS fine roo, so invested money vs. performance is good in my opinion. Only "issue" is the display which I will update at some point. Even it ihas 240Hz and all that, the 27" is just a tad too small for me. Curved 32" with 1440p was better in my opinion along with a tad more powerful GPU.

@JV69badatflyski

Your rig is a very nice one, eats games foe breakfast ?

Just a small update on the rig :) Installed a Sapphire Radeon RX6950XT Nitro+ to replace the nVidia 3060 card. A beast card!

Necroing FTW ? Installed another 32Gb memory, so having 64Gb now. The system simply thrashes Cliffs of Dover at 1440p resolution. Could not be happier ?
