Can we get some feedback on reported bugs?

I've reported several bugs since I got back to the IL-2 Sturmovik brand in 2019 and I am not alone. There is lot of players reporting issues.
For some of them I've got "Thank you badge" from @-DED-Rapidus.

Some bugs I've reported months or years ago. According to the focus on the "new product" published by the development team recently, I'm not sure those bugs will be fixed in the current product. Can we hope in some kind of feedback which bugs are planned to be fixed or something like "bugfixing roadmap"?

Thank you.

I have asked the same thing to no avail. The "Tracks" they supposedly need are really quite hard to obtain, as one needs to be recording the track when it happens. So good luck with that. There is no money in fixing anything, but selling new product, there is. You can make your own decision on that. Of course, this is my opinion, I don't work here.

Main problem here is feedback in general. It seems GB is treated like ROF when GB became the new thing

Unfortunately there is no new thing.

From conversations with the QA team, there are a lot of reports and many of them are quite useful.
Using those reports, the bugs are worked on according to available resources, the current development tasks and priorities.

The results of the completed work/fixes are in the changelogs posted with each update.

Using 5.004 as an example, there were 46 fixes or updates. All from reports submitted by players and testers.

But other than that, there isn't any direct feedback process for every report submitted.

I'm assuming that you are using the word 'crap' in place of something else.

Probably something that would get moderated or maybe just in place of the word 'stuff'. It doesn't matter.

But some of the people that continually put in the hard work to fix existing issues and also make the new things for this SIM do read these threads.

Calling their work crap doesn't help when trying to get anyone to work on something.

Just something to think about....

That is unfair. Historically they improved often and many times unannounced.
I think this negativity going on is going way out of line. Do like me. Take a brake from it if fed up

I changed the word to product in my post, apologies. I describe this sim to almost watching a movie, it is beautiful.

If we change the word negativity to frustration, we'll be on the same page.

It would be beneficial  for people to have their posts acknowledged so they know someone has at least seen them.

Perhaps a "Sticky" explaining on how to post such things would go along way into getting things straightened out?

We all just want a game we can play, and have a good time with.

Regards,

I think this forum is starting to have as much action as the game.

Yeah, I am afraid impression of many negative post became pointed to you. My apologies.
I do see your and others point. Frustrated I am too, I guess we all see the big potential this game have, in our different point of views, of course.
And it is soo close to perfection, you can almost touch it, and then they ditch it and start over again.

@2/JG26_rudidlo, thanks for the question, I put the thank you label on reports where everything is clear and reviewed, if a clarification of the question was required - I usually ask it further along the text in that topic. There are problems that are not solved immediately and are put in the task of correction. really acute situations that really irritate the player's gameplay go first of all to fix.

Maybe DED-Rapidus you know the answer. How many people in the Dev Team work on fixes and debugging of the existing version and prepare the next update, and how many work on the future title?

Knowing that people ARE working on the bugs would be a good thing. I'd sure like to know that..........

If the dev team reads the forum you’re probably going to start having some mysterious “accidents” in the game pretty soon.

"If the Dev team reads the forum?" Oh dear...........

Well, I probably mis-worded that. It would be nice to know there are some people on a team to take care of them. I have worked in manufacturing for 30+ years, and what the "Office" says, isn't necessarily what's really going on. If it's "We'll get to the bugs if and when we have time" type deal, BUT someone WILL be working on them. Is a whole lot different than having someone on it full time. I've worked for places like that, and it sucks.

I was a programmer for 28 years.  And it’s pretty obvious that you have no idea how software development works.  There is no such thing as “we’re not going to work on bugs”.

Maybe you should read the release notes for each updates.  There is almost always a long list if issues that have been fixed.

I will support you, the best indicator of working on bugs is the list of fixes in the update publications.

I know it.

There is a whole team of people working on that every single day. Some are employed by the publisher and others are volunteers. They aren’t going to prioritize posting what they are working on that particular day for everyone to read, or they would not get anything else done.
