Well it sounds like the fuel rework is shelved for now, but it's possible we'll get it at some point:

As already stated we have a FME that's installed with the game executable, look in your game files... we have VR support...

 

Reworked AI commands would be really nice, but I think that's a more complicated issue than we realize. But, the AI command menu in TC can get pretty in-depth, and it would be cool to have something similar for aircraft.

 

War Thunder. War Thunder? Did you know, most of the players in WT play ground battles? So by that logic we should be developing Tank Crew like crazy. They're raking in cash, in my opinion, because of preditory game design that banks on a player's FOMO (battle pass, limited time/ sale # premiums), addictive additions like loot boxes, and making it take so long to get anywhere that busy adults would rather throw money at it than spend what little free time they have trying to unlock the next vehicle, or they buy whatever $50/$60/$70 premium plane packages that are available to ease the grind. Not because the game is just that good.

 

And there's no need to be so dramatic about it, making a bunch of demands to have what you want how you want it right now; that just makes people laugh at you. Plus, there's already enough crisis actors here. ?

Yes well get it in new game not in this one... will new game be more like WT or have stuff like unlocks, or will new game be more like DCS and become to complex for ppl who dont like DCS way of play. If new game is gona be same as GB, then why bather with new game why not continue GB... why you aint gona get DT or fuel system in GB is because it will be added from start in next project that is new game not conected to GB...

This has been my thought since the first live stream. There was such a lack of information provided, almost as if something was being hidden until an appropriate time for an announcement could be determined. An announcement that may possibly upset a portion of current players. 
 

I’m not a fan of War Thunder but they do have a solid business model, lots of vehicles to play and a very large player base that probably makes a lot of money for Gaijin. I never understood how GB could be profitable with the sporadic release of collectors vehicles and new “theater” releases on a two-year cycle. 
 

Of course, I am speculating, just like many others have done. But I do believe a new way of generating revenue will be needed if something new and extensive is truly being developed.

I think it's too early to say anything about the new project, because at this point we're just grasping at straws. I'll be disappointed if it is like a game like WT, I left WT because I wanted a more serious simulation... so in that case I'll either chill with GB unless they fundamentally change it, or off to CloD.

On the other hand, I've taken the lull in serious game development to get into Dwarf Fortress!

The flight simmer world will always need a WWII sim in it, one between gamers WT and DCS
so if its not GB someone else will fill the void.... maybe.
I always hoped after CloD the next version of Il2 would start in Poland in '39 and work through to '45. (i think they missed a trick there)
Most of the MP servers are now late war, i mean who wants to fly an E4 if you have a K4? (except maybe me!)
I guess Korea probably holds little interest for the present large customer base who want a WWII plane set...
And id much rather have a more detailed DM than an extravagant fuel system (maybe drop tanks) that doesn't really bring much to the game.

Yes, drop tanks are important, and big bombers should be a lot of fun to have even if not flyable, but this is a game and the  the budget and technological possibilities are limited!

He is clearly making fun of ppl who make thouse type demands, hes not one making them, hes saying you nitpicking fools with your constant demands now got it, they gona make new game because this one is not good enought, and because this type of sim is small it will search for other ways to make it profitable... atleast this is how it looks to me OP post. Kinda think they were going release a new game in the near future with or without the "nitpicking fools with constant demands".  It's a software product.  An old one at that.  Software products routinely are replaced with newer, better, faster versions.  It's quite normal.

Well you cant make flightsims that sell and not getting demanding nitpickers. Tanks and sea battles too.

Umm...you have heard of the Japanese Navy yes? What about the Japanese Army?

They tended to do things with their respective aircraft (yes, they had aircraft!) like shoot down lots of Buffalos, Wildcats, and other Allied aircraft.
