109G6/AS Hell yes! Been wanting /AS 109s for the last 6 years! Outstanding news.

 

True story, I once caught a ban for requesting this aircraft too much ?.

Not a question of hate. There's no doubt the plane will be nice, all the IL2 planes are nice. Some are very nice indeed.

 

But a 10th version of the 109? 

 

It was a pretty big war I hear, no other planes worth making?

I guess I look at the introduction of the G6 A/S as a clue to our next module for GB, as the G6 a/s is a collector plane instead of included in a new game I am guessing our next campaign will either take place before the introduction of the G6 A/s (early 44) or in a theater the Germans were not prevelant in.

I get why this was done. It'll be relatively quick since it just modifies on an existing 3D model, maybe its being used to train another 3D modeler. Any other plane will be from scratch and will take much longer for a ROI. Plus its a collector, buy it if you want. Its a good looking plane/model too, and potent.

I'd like to think that maybe since its an A/S, that's a sign of high altitude bomber formations.

The only decent 109 we have is the E. Once they took the tail struts away I rather lost interest. Hope you all enjoy it, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between any of the G variants. Mind you, I might have spotted a G-12 if I saw one. ?

And I suppose if we absolutely had to get another 109, a high altitude version makes sense.

 

Now we just need some more allied bombers to give us a reason to actually fly high... c'mon, A-20G at least! Or even better a B-26 or 25...

Looks great, such a sleek airframe. Sadly, I won't be buying this unless it's included in a two-collector plane pack for $25 (two planes for just $25) or I catch it on a sale.

The game really needs the LA-7 and Yak-3, much more than a slightly different variant of a G6. Just take the models of the Yak-9 and LA-5FN and change the skin and give them the performance of those planes and call it a day.

If you fly really high OVER  a good blanket of clouds,  just imagine the B24  raid is rolling below the clouds cover, drop your 250 kgs bomb and imagine what happens.....

You just got the first VR low cost  bomber raid and used your 9th 109 for the best    ?

Naw, why bother when you can just re-sale the same airplane ....for the 3rd time (with some minor cosmetic adjustments) and folks will still eat it up like its their last supper ?

I might be alone in thinking this, but I think it would be more important to have the planes than have a new map.
