[CPT]Crunch Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 They never ran a single intercept on V-1's fired on continent mainly targeted transport hubs in Belgium, nor were pilots allowed to run inland into the UK flak belts once the guns went radar directed. Doing so would have interfered with AAA which had the best success rates and already had VT shells deployed in UK fully by mid 44. Historically by that time interceptions were over the channel only. The only reason they didn't start using VT shells till six months later on the mainland was a fear duds would fall into enemy hands, be used, and they knew they could be spoofed with with the correct RF signals.

My AI flight lead spun his XIV on first takeoff attempts, then proceeded to taxi clumsily back to runway start. It took off quite awkwardly, I took off behind and set autopilot on. Both planes flew into a zone over the channel, we had text asking to check the map for contact updates, never saw any V1 (using external views I saw there were three in flight), got back to land almost as lumsily as we took off, for no result. Two FWs were spotted straffing targets over england ? second mission: AI flight lead turned right 90° off the runway and proceeded to taxi back to runway start, spun 6 times and broke its engine. I took off, engaged autopilot, autopilot opened canopy and dived into the ground ? Please ring me when game works ? Edited December 2, 2022 by PB0_Roll

I tried to reproduce the problem but have come up empty*, so we're going to need more details before filing a bug report on this one. ? *The AI flight leader took off just fine; 91 Squadron, 5 July 1944.

That way you shouldn't have to deal with German planes intercepting you over the Channel. 1

Alright, will run another test. Yep, that jeep on the runway at Deanland is definitely causing problems for the AI. I've reproduced the problem and filed a report about it.
