Excellent.

I see I'm going to have to learn Romanian, for the IAR cockpit. 'Variometru'? What can that possibly mean? ?

Still getting over Cutie Distributi (I'm probably misspelling that).

Yeah, I'll be fascinated to hear about their selection process for the next module if they eventually decide to share that. Given how much thought I've given to theory crafting possible modules and whether or not they are feasible - it'd be interesting to see a professional's take.

Also known as a variometer. I'd actually figured it out, hence the wink. Just my little joke.

I'm pretty sure it is AI. In the Russian language interview (according to forum translators anyway) they seemed to express a doubt about the sales of armoured cars (and presumably light tanks and other vehicles).

IMHO, if they were given an ability to direct artillery (alongside U-2VS, Fi-156, Fw-189, and L-5) then they'd probably be pretty popular. It'd be quite a bit of fun trying to survive as an armoured car while correcting artillery fires onto enemy positions/tanks... and directing an entire battery of howitzers our guns anything we have (albeit requiring a bit more skill and being more inherently inaccurate). So I think that'd sell if it was limited to just the scout vehicles. Never under-estimate the appeal of a bit of Pyromania now and again.

I'm looking forward to the Li-2 (and hoping it isn't cancelled - although I'm optimistic the C-47 has sold well considering all the people asking about it)...

...because the Li-2 has a fixed forward firing armament of one 7.62mm machine gun ?

Dakadakdaka indeed

IAR coming along nicely. I hope that it's a successful collaboration that results in future collector aircrafts from that modeler.

a WIP greyhound? ? and Normandy is "Fully released"? that may indicate where we're going next... they were used in Italy and the Pacific, and did not see service on the eastern front...

Great update. Thank you Enigma89 for the interview. it answered a lot of questions and settled a lot of misconceptions about GB.

Very sexy little IAR. That cockpit is for the IAR-81C. Awesome sauce.

Thank you.

Hmmm, it might be just an AI vehicle as the others that have trickled out throughout the development of BON.

I would not put any special weight to it (yet!).

The AI Greyhound is already there:

This must be a pilotable one.

Nice! I honestly would have been happy to pay for both the fighter bomber and cannon equipped versions separately.

But we already have an AI M8 in game... Why would we be shown an exact copy of it in a less finished state then it currently is?

What we see here is much more detailed.

Good point. It looked familiar but i haven't come across it much, so i wasn't sure

That's really interesting then.

Edit: on an absurd level, it would be funny if they threw some old WIP image of the AI greyhound just to throw us off their tracks

Not going to read into it much, but it is interesting that the first screenshot on the textured IAR in game has it in the post swap to allies markings.

so if its playable do we get a Puma or similar wheeled armored vehicle for the Germans?

Is the Greyhound going to be a vehicle we can drive/buy? or just another AI piece

Actually that paint scheme represents the early Romanian markings, before they chose the AXIS side.  The thin yellow bands and smaller roundels were used before May 1941 on all Romanian planes. Once the Romanians signed with AXIS they switched to the Crosses. The late Allied markins, adopted after august 1944 have  larger roundels,  white fuselage bands and white wingtips.

Late allied markings:

By the time they finally settled on a set of markings, the war was over, the Russians won and they had to change them again to Red Stars. ?
