I took the plunge and purchased the Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant today. I've read only 1 thread on this forum regarding the Bravo, and it mentioned that the quadrant trim wheel didn't work, but only with the BF 109.  Of course I intend to use this throttle with MSFS, but am really hoping it can work with IL-2 BoS, as I'd like to use it with twin engine aircraft.  Has anyone had any experience using the Honeycomb Bravo in IL-2?  honeycomb_aeronautical_hc003042_bravo_throttle_quadrant_1598688.thumb.jpg.47a238c0e0be8c0a00384c878f36c13b.jpg

Yes, but this is not issue with the quadrant, but how the game is coded, Bf 109, Ju52... "Stabilizer Adjust" command accept input from an analog axes.

All other planes trim (rudder, elevator, trim) only accept input from buttons or key press.

Not all planes have trims in three axes, some just one, some two, some three.

This flaps switch too will not work in the same way for all planes, because specific planes have specific flaps commands.

Eg. Spitfire - Up or Down

BF 109 - progressive down or progressive up - can't be controlled by an analog axis - e.g. a lever; but by press and holding a button or key.

Ju-87 Stuka, fixed positions,g. 0, 10, 20, 40 degrees (don't remember the exactly angles and number of positions).

I'm primarily concerned with using the quadrant with the Havok, Mosquito and Lightning for the time being.  I can adapt to things like the trim and flaps. Can all the buttons/switches on the Bravo be assigned to a keyboard function in IL-2? For instance, can the Autopilot buttons be assigned to keyboard commands?

The radio buttons send (DX) button press, so is matter of assign this (DX) button press in IL-2 keybinds for the desired command. See in this video, the "Rev" button press (DX) button number 4.

The toggle rocker switches bellow press a button in upper position - e.g. 10; and another button for down position - e.g. 11.

So if want use one rocker for some command that in IL-2 use the same key press for ON and OFF, e.g. press L for turn on lights, press L again for turn OFF lights, assign the rocker two times for this command, one for button 10 and another for button 11.

Ha! I passed over this video last night.  Okay, so the answer is: Yes. I can assign buttons to key commands in BoS.  My concern was that the Bravo is like the Logitech switch panels which are useless in IL-2.   I have also been looking at Authentikit.

The only way I found to use the landing gear lever was to use a macro in Joystick Gremlin.  But it works perfectly now.  I used hsthhsth's listed procedure here, although his is for canopy/window.  The flaps lever worked out of the box.  Just starting on the two-way buttons so I can't comment on how they work yet.

I have one. I assign the trim wheel button on axis in Gb it works well

I use the 737 throttles so I can start and stop the engines with the reverse handles.
it feel great and are the best for the buck button throttle you can get

I took my trim wheel off.  It was getting in the way of the landing gear handle, which I modified with a nozzle from my shop vac.  Here's my current setup using half the DC3/C47 control handles and DH2 thrust handles acquired off Etsy.  The P-40 throttle quadrant and three wheel trim are also acquired off Etsy (very precise 1% trim is attained).  The upper switch and toggle panel is also acquired off Etsy.  Labels are temp until I decide if I like the layout and then I make permanent labels.

Guys, what Homeycomb (or whatever) software should we downnload for IL2 Great Battles for the Honeycomb Bravo Quadrant?

No software is needed. Windows will pick it up and from there IL2 will pick it up.
