I just did it! pre-ordered Premium...

I was watching all those videos from the US event, all morning and couldn't resist any more...

I'm in,  got the reciept thank you. I liked CLOD - colours and scenery were fine, ok so the houses were not 'British' but the effect was excellent,

If the trailer is 75% of what we'll see I'm fine with that.

I'm an off liner,but do enjoy the hobby when I have the time

 From what I know about Russians and their affection, up to being upright almost stupendous worshipping, of The Great Patriotic War..BoS will sell like good weed on a campus    Look at World Of Tanks, more Russian players than rest of the world combined I think. Sure the price there is lower but again have to compare income levels too, so fully understandable.

Nonsense ... there is no need to sacrifice quality in this at all and I do not think the team has.. I also agree with Furbs on this one.. I bet the Russians are ordering like crazy.. I will be absolutely shocked if this falls flat and will most likely never pre order any sim again ... but somehow I think I will be pre ordering the next theater as well..

DCS is throwing its hat in the ring too with RRG studios.  The more the merrier I say.  I hope both are successful.

I know what he is referring to but I still think it is incorrect. I don't know if this is where he was coming from .. but many people seem to think that if BoS does not meet up to CoD standards then it will be an inferior product and I think that that is an erroneous notion to begin with and in the case of BoS unjustified based on all that we have seen.. I know they said they would not do things to the level of CoD but they will be well done I am certain.

 

@ Uu.. I don't think it will be the end of simming.. we will always try to scratch that itch with what we have... I know I will.. if there were no other sims forthcoming and BoS fails.. then I will be flying IL2 till I can no longer do so.. but I don't think that will be an issue.

 

I also agree with gavagai... the more the merrier.. but I think BoS will be special and I think that whatever this unnamed RRG/DCS collaboration is .. it is too far out to even begin to speculate on.. BoS is almost ready to pop. That is where my current hopes lie..

He was talking about the actual historical discrepancies between the real aircraft.  The implication being that the game will be accurate enough that those players who choose the Russian side will have to be more numerous than the players who choose the German side if they wish to prevail.

One positive I see in this thread, besides the obvious numbers of people preordering, are the more than a few who are newer members here who are posting they have also preordered. I think that's a great sign for the future. Now if each of us could get one more person to preorder that would sweeten the pot that much more.

what I've seen and read so far from the developers of  this sim are what motivated me to purchase in advance

I'm not here to recruit or convince people to buy or not buy -

The statements I have made in support of this product are based on what I've seen and what I deem relevant

The questions that remain unanswered are significant and it is those answers that will sway most of the reluctant ones, one way or the other...

I can agree with that. But I also think that if I find a product I can support, whether it is BoS or some other consumer goods, I haven't any problem passing that info along with a recommendation. No I wouldn't think of standing on a street corner with a sandwich board asking people to buy BoS, but if I were in conversation with a fellow gamer I sure would. With a clear conscience.

Bearcat, the actual aircraft performance of the VVS relative to the LW is what I'm pretty sure the poster meant - not the product itself.

Ok, last week i tried to purchase the premium edition twice to no avail, it just wouldnt work for me , it would say "Congratulations on purchasing the premium edition of BOS etc etc" and give me an order no and all the details as if the sale had gone through but no confirmation email. No money had gone out of my bank account either so i was stuck. I bit the bullet and tried again and hey presto all is good it has gone through so i have finally purchased the Premium edition.

I got a pm from Jason about my dilemma and have replied to that Thanks Jason. 

So now my flying friends the wait begins , lets hope its going to be worth it . Im sure it will

WEll judging from RoF which has really good FFB support, Im going to take an educated guess that it is supported as well.  I jsut fixed my G 940 FFB stick so I cant wait to try the BETA!

Since there seems to be some people here using G940 I have a question for you: Is it any good? I need to get new hotas set and that is one strong competitor, others being Thrustmaster Warthog and CH fighter stick+throttle. Sorry about off topic post, btw.
