RyanR Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 First mission in BoN. Career. P-47, 22th FS at Kingsnorth. On takeoff, tower says "taxi to runway", though all the planes are on the runway. Flight lead taxis around to the back of the planes, and then the takeoff order is issued. I have a "trk" file: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/uf5bnhnsagkty7x/AACTj5mKCtm7jFFB7XMiX5kla?dl=0 -Ryan
1CGS -DED-Rapidus Posted September 8, 2022 1CGS Posted September 8, 2022 @RyanR, we need a folder with the same name, there is also a mission there.

Folder should be there now. So far, the "problem" was only at that airfield or fighter squadron. No trouble anywhere else. -Ryan
RyanR Posted September 9, 2022 Author Posted September 9, 2022 The problem is popping up at Newchurch as well, flying Tempests. -Ryan
1CGS Regingrave- Posted September 9, 2022 1CGS Posted September 9, 2022 Will be fixed in the next update, the problem was with the placing of planes within mission templates.
69th_kilo9 Posted September 10, 2022 Posted September 10, 2022 The airfields at Ford, Tangmere, Selsey and one other that I can't remember the name of are all affected. With 'start from runway' selected, the lead a/i plane requests 'taxi to runway' when he's already in position to begin his take off run. He then taxis off to the slip road and forms up at the rear of the section. The leader's wing man then takes off. At 3 of the 4 fields mentioned above, the leader (now at the rear) then crashes into the a/c waiting in front of him. The a/i a/c that do get into the air merely circle the home field making the mission a washout. I've only tried Spitfire 9's at each field. I had no problems flying Spitfire 9's out of Hawkinge. If DED-Rapidus' comment about creating a folder is a simple fix, maybe somebody can explain it to me..... Thanks

You just need to zip and attach the _gen.mission file from /data/missions here after the mission is created. It's overwritten every time a new mission is created, so it's important to save it before moving on to another one.
RedeyeStorm Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 Here is a mission with P47's where the flight lead shows this behaviour. _gen.zip
69th_kilo9 Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 LukeFF/RedeyeStorm Thanks for getting back to me chaps. Tbh - and I hang my head in shame as I type this - I think I'm better off waiting until the next update to resolve this. However, thank you again for your replies-greatly appreciated believe me. S!
Bungmiester Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 I am flying from Woodchurch in a P47 single Campaign with the 412 Fighter Squadron and noticed the same behavior on a bomber escort mission, after all my squadron took off they all circled the airfield and then crash landed one by one instead of of following the mission an escorting the bombers to their target.
69th_kilo9 Posted October 12, 2022 Posted October 12, 2022 Taxi to runway issue not fixed. 222 sqdn from Selsey. Identical behaviour by ai flight lead after update.

Sybreed Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 was about to report the same issue... glad someone beat me to it.
Farkup Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 Same issue, but it just started. BON, pre-invasion RCAF Spit XlV. I had run 4 missions, all went smoothly. Now the Lead 2 planes taxi around and crash.
Tartopome37 Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 Still not fixed after 7 months... With the last update I was hoping that the problem will be solved but no, Kingsnorth is still as complet mess...
WarSlothdsbeckett Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 I am experiencing similar issues as described in previous comments. At the beginning of BON Career specifically for the 22FS, and 406FS, both flying P-47's... Taxi struggles as described above. If aircraft manage to get off the ground, roughly half the squadron will crash within moments. When flying autopilot in formation across the channel, a turn on course sometimes results in multiple aircraft colliding. (When flying in the fighter-bomber role, this happens not just to my squadron but also the AI escorts) When conducting ground attack missions, usually 2 or 3 aircraft fail to drop their bombs on the target and RTB with bombs on board only to drop them over the friendly airfield upon return. Although this is in response to the 22FS and 406FS Career modes, this seems to affect a lot more than just these units and occurs with other AI squadrons participating in the various missions. I understand a new release is going to have some bugs to work out. Hopefully these can be fixed in the next updates. Thanks!
