For the rest, I have no problem, it is a map that we have all been waiting for a long time, we have a DM that now feels more immersive, a varied planet set, incredible clouds, a great job in general, I just like to think that every day will be better. Time to time, and for the moment to enjoy the air and aerial combat

Expecations were raised in the hype period and I think a lot of players familiar with the area would have righly considered such comments to indicate a relaistic (within the bounds of the game) landscape that included the things that dominate the country lanes and countryside and as such couple of new tree/shrub types to boot. In the grand scheme of thing how much it matters is a personal thing but the fact remains, thought generally well done it doesnt fully meet the expectations of a good few of us given the terms used. 2

Talking about accuracy I wish the devs would consider doing the correct paint schemes for the time period for the germans vehicles and things like that for Normandy and Rhineland maps. Just looks awful seeing the grey equipment around the airfields and such. I dont know is there any mods that change things like that?

This is Berck I believe. On QMB the distance the map is populated depends on settings and if it's too far away its disabled.

If you want to roam the whole map in one go, you can set 'Map scenery distance' option in the game settings to 'Unlimited' (this will increase mission loading time). 3 1 6

One fly around, and two sorties in career mode and: ooooops, it’s four in the morning ? I really enjoyed a Me410 night sortie with take off in the dawn and arrive the enemy airfield in the dark. It’s the first time I crossed the channel in Il2 (never played CloD), what a fantastic experience!!! Also a Ar234 sortie was nice with cruising over the beaches on the way to the target. Thanks to the whole Il2 Sturmovik team for this nice peace of flight sim !!! ?? Now it’s time for waiting the Flying Circus 2 Map ? Edited September 8, 2022 by JG4_Moltke1871

They take a bit of catching as they're fast (I managed in an 81-inch boosted Mustang III, from a diving approach), and when you get them they go off with a frighteningly large bang right in front of your plane! ? One question, is there any chance of airfields like Redhill or Biggin Hill being added at some point? Both would be in the area of the map detailed (Redhill is actually only a couple of miles from Horne, which is in the game). Though not as important in 44, both would be very useful for earlier operations in 43 and 42 as two of 11 Group's most important fighter bases. 1

I never saw any problem, like the one mentioned, by Klaus_Mann. With 32 GB of RAM ( high end system in general, but non-VR, 4K Ultra), everything maxed out, I had no idea why some people complain about in this case a.o. drawing distance settings. IMHO Same for DCS World ... my guess is that most so called 'looking bad' feedback may be related to settings (too low and/or not maxed out). As we know IL-2 is quite gentle on resources ... I have to limit the FPS (because of my LG OLED) refresh rate to 120. It otherwise would render far above 120 FPS. (FWIW : compared to a.o. Sicherlich sind in den Tastaturbefehlen schon die entsprechenden Befehle belegt, aber leider funktioniert davon gar nichts. Auch die lange angekündigten Zusatztanks, nicht mal für die Me-109, sind leider verfügbar. Auch vermise ich natürlich die Erweiterungen bei FC, sprich FC II. Ich bin davon ausgegangen, das die neue Karte veröffentlicht,, evtl zumindestens ein paar karrieren gestartet werden können. Zumindestens für die Früh- käufer. schade Good job for sure...... but....... I still miss the long announced improvements in engine and fuel management. The corresponding commands are certainly already assigned in the keyboard shortcuts, but unfortunately none of them work at all. Unfortunately, the long-awaited additional tanks, not even for the Me-109, are also available. Of course, I also miss the expansions at FC, i.e. FC II. I assumed that the new map would be published, maybe at least a few careers could be started. At least for early buyers. a pity 3

When you first load in the map, only the southern part is visible. Simply grab the map with your mouse (can't remember if its a right or left click) and move the map up and you will see southern england.
