1./KG4_grat123 Posted August 22, 2022 Posted August 22, 2022 I've been scratching my head over this one and can't bottom it out. Since installing IL2 on my new PC I have noticed a pronounced aileron roll to the right on the German twins I fly (bf110, ju88). This is being caused by the force feedback on my sidewinder joystick pushing the stick over to the right and off center. Strangely I don't see this on any single engine fighters nor do I remember it on my old PC setup. I've recalibrated my joystick and even reinstalled IL2 but it's still there. I thought it may be a characteristic of twins in the sim but it seems very pronounced and maybe what you would see with a single engine failure. My fellow squad mates are not reporting this problem with their FFB on their PCs. Can anybody shed any light or offer advice?
1CGS -DED-Rapidus Posted August 22, 2022 1CGS Posted August 22, 2022 @1./KG4_grat123, did you by any chance calibrate the joystick with the built-in windows tool?
1./KG4_grat123 Posted August 22, 2022 Author Posted August 22, 2022 @-DED-Rapidusyes I did, the one in the control panel. I did think about that but couldn't think why it would only affect the twins. Is there a way to sort this?
1./KG4_grat123 Posted August 24, 2022 Author Posted August 24, 2022 Ok, found the problem and its related to the force feedback axis being swapped because of the way my Windows 11 PC has detected my sidewinder stick. Just in case other people have the same problem here is the solution that I finally found
