  1. 1. Please select the option you would like to see included in the future updates for Tank Crew.

    • More public tank skins: There seems to be a lack of public skins to choose from in TC. Example, the lack of dark skins for german tanks, e.g. dark grey for PzIII, IV, and VI.
    • Ferdinand crew uniform: Change the current grey uniform to black

    • AI infantry: Include Russian & German infantry units with AT weapons similar to the British & American units
    • Towing vehicles: The ability for player tanks to help other players by towing/fixing damaged tanks
    • Advanced repair management: The ability to select which damage items get fixed first along with the ability to see the % of damage and time needed to repair on demand
    • Smoke Shells: The ability to load smoke shells to aid in escape. This was especially true for allied tanks, e.g. Sherman
    • Sherman tank DM: The Sherman shows critical damage e.g. penetration holes, yet continues to act normally
    • Ammunition load out: Have the ability to set the exact number of ammunition types manually, e.g. to reduce the probability of immediate explosion
    • Mine fields: This option could be included in mission editor or perhaps allow Gaz & SdKfz driver to plant mines once per player
    • Reduce Object damage: Reduce the damage to tanks should they hit hay bails, small wells, wheeled carts, etc.

Similar to the previous poll, Tank Crew: List of Wanted Fixes, this poll will be based on the same format. This poll is a list of wanted improvements, but not all improvements the TC community would like to see in the future. Again, I apologize if I leave out some improvements.

Again, I selected one, but I want all of them.  BTW, SCG_Neun created an object template for big and small explosion mines a while back.  I got it and modified it for my personal needs, but so could anybody else.  Search the TC forum and you’ll find it.  I don’t see some kind of “automated minelaying object” any time soon…..

Allied tank that can 1 v 1 tiger or panther, everything els is waist of work and will not bring in more players to desert TC is now.

agree with that: no need to stay quanton the battle of kursk... just offer players "balanced" tanks (not modifying the characteristics, but more equivalent tanks), the troop of fantastic modders (and who work for you for free...) will surely be motivated and happy to provide historical missions and campaigns (as she has already done), and this will give more leeway to multiplayer and server managers...

 

(and she'll be all the more motivated if she sees some love for TC and her work isn't wasted...)

@JV44HeinzBar pretty sure that the Ferdinand crew got the right uniforms, tank hunters like assault guns units did not had the panzer black uniforms but grey ones with artillery red as service colour (instead of Panzer's pink)

Advanced repair management would really add something to the game

 

Fixing collision damage should be implemented straight away until the maps can be fixed

Let's limit myself to a few options givene in the poll:

1 - Panzer III and IV were panzer grey until 1943, sand coloured after that although camouflaged which cam in all kind of variations (left to the crew to add themselves). Ferdinand and Panther only came in sand yellow, never in grey, Tigers did early on, but quickly switched to yellow

2 - As Alexmarine rightly stated, the Ferdinand crew received grey uniforms as they were tank hunters, not tank crews

I'll throw my wellys in and suggest...

 

1/ Having the Tank kills recognised like Aircraft do in single player...  Mig3-#2...Hawk2...just killed Bf109 over...

 

Tank Crew is MontyThrud just killed Panzer IV over...er no I didn't...I'm #1, It was Fox 4...

 

So it would be...T34-#4...This is Fox4... just killed Panzer IV over.

 

2/ Towing Tanks is a must, been pushing dead Tanks out of the way to get my Tank Company to advance after a big punch up...?

 

3/ Would love Smoke Shells, but it would only work Online as AI is in an alternative world dimension to us mere Hoomans[see thru cloud/smoke/Trees].

 

4/ Adjustable Tank strength to each tank...for Online as in balancing Tank armour/Gun power for O/L mission builders where balance is needed.

 

5/ Different types of vehicle/plane Icons available...  Choices for all, there's some I've seen in Mods look good, some have lesser/hollow squares.

 

6/ Grass man it's a Grass...  Also seen some major good Grass Mods, I think a feller called Alek has done a superb Grass Mod, looks real, at least it could be an option for Ultra Grass to keep FPS in check.

As the game is based on Kursk.  None existed.   I would however like to see some later war tanks/tank destroyers,  mobile artillery for the german side,  and playable puma. And other scout cars.  The game is still fun. Especially in MP. But the excitement always goes up when newer ac are introduced. And I expect the same would happen for TC

but why would you want to stick to the Kursk period? in the end, who plays the kursk map? even in multiplayer, we see her very little (personally, I only know of 2 multiplayer missions that are done on the koursk map, on the AAS server...)...

Did you read my entire post ?   I said I wanted to see more late war tanks

Battle of Stalingrad was games first DLC, like TC is for tanks, they understod importance of geting it good when selecting player airplanes, so mutch that it had FW-190A-3 that didnt participated in battle DLC cover.

 

So if with TC they selected to do battle where one side have SMALL number of prototype tanks, while other side uses older not so advanced but numerous tanks to defet them, you have to either balance tanks like they did in BOS, with tank that didnt participated or you give side that counted on quantity ability to use that in game. They did nothing like that with TC and you see resoult; desert of player base; and one that is here is just trolling air players by shooting them on spawn base or grined ai objects for stats, pvp is nonexistant, SP carrier campaigns user made stuff is nonexistant...

 

And then you anounce two collector tanks to get momentum to try to do next TC, but you give nothing new, kv-1 can do anything churchil can , how you expect to get more ppl so you can do next TC with that poor tank selection... and this is first DLC its not like for airplanes where you already have many of them to alow players to fix other poor stuff you cant fix in tc without giving players abilitys to comand mullti tanks at same time so one player can have 4-8 tanks vs 1-2 prototype tanks that were never in as good conditions game give you 100% of time.

 

SO with BOS they knew they have to have airplane famous as 190 even though it didnt participated, they seam to lost that lesson with TC. And as resoult TC2 aint gona happend.

sorry, it was not so much to react to your post in particular, as to this answer which is usually given from "the period of the developers, it's kursk, such a shell did not exist, such a tank was not present ... etc"... I agree with you, I too would like to see other tanks after this period...

I was not  agreeing that the tanks in the game were balanced for Tank vs Tank combat.  I was only stating that the tank set  was based on tanks available at Kursk.    I agree that there should be more later war tanks, for both teams.   I think the 2 collector vehicles   were the wrong way to go,  but both were at Kursk.   I think there could have been much better selections made for new vehicles.   I would have gladly taken the Puma  for Normandy as AI only, as a player vehicle  over the Stug  for sure.   The JPIV  L70 would have been welcome,  the Russians could have used more of a heavy hitter like the t34-85,    Su-85   etc.  Those vehicles would be much more useful than a crappy , slow tank for the allies,  and a weak armored, slow,  Tank hunter for the axis  with  a gun equaled by the PZ IV  with half the loadout.  Neither is going to be worth anything  in multiplayer, and that's why I haven't pre-ordered either.  I would pre-order a Puma, and russian scout car.   I would pre-order  tank destroyers for both sides.   I would definately pre-order  a hummel  or wespe since the axis have no mobile arty gun.    I think the same applies for planes.  Why would I want to order the IAR 80.  I already have a crappy plane in the E7,  and in MP the macchi since the fvp server hampers it and don't allow cannons for it.  That is interesting since they do allow russian hvy mg's and cannons on the hurricane,  which were late 42/ early 43 in reality.   Now I would have shelled out for an italian series 5 fighter,  and upgraded stuka.    The total letdown  with the 410 having no AP for the big guns is ridiculous as well.  The allies get the mosquito with a 57mm gun, that fires AP,  brutal vs tanks,  and they made 18 of them ?

 

It seems like some of the latest newer additions are made for some purists, mainly single player fantasy types and not at all practical  for the MP aspect.  I doubt I will ever see a churchill in MP, unless they have a spawn right next to the CP, otherwise it's just way to slow. The only slow Tank/Tank killer that would ever get played in MP would be the Jagdtiger.    I would actually like to see man-able  AT guns at some point, that you can tow with a truck.  Make it a spawn-able pair, hitched up, when you deploy the truck moves back and you man the AT gun.   Many options wer available to model  but unfortunately we ended up getting the slugs.

Easily infantry, it would revolutionize whole gameplay, add purpose, set frontlines and lines of contact. Even most basic infantry like in Panzer Elite >20 years ago.

1. AI improvements:

- Having crew members report what they are seeing to fellow crew members (rather than reports having to come from other tanks)!

- Having more realistic field of view limitations and search times for enemy tanks (i.e. making it less predictable when they will spot you).

- Having AI respond more to camouflage (e.g. whether the enemy vehicles are in a treeline or in the open).

 

2. Basic AT infantry (PTRD, PIAT) and more infantry firing positions (e.g. machine gun nests in buildings, machine gun nests which are partly in a trench (i.e. a very shallow object) etc. In other words: More targets for HE rounds.

a berge panther can be added to the game for towing veachiles for free if u own clash at prokhorovka becuase its the same model as panther just without a turret
