B-26 collisions in sharp turns

I've noticed this several times now in bomber escort missions in Pilot Career:

 

Sitting on the runway in a P-51 at the beginning of a mission in BoBP. The B-26 flight comes out of the north, and makes the sharp turn over the airfield to WNW to its target. Two B-26's will usually collide when making the turn. The formation will also scatter and have trouble reforming.
