I.JG3_CDRSEABEE Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 Does anyone know if CLoD has motion like IL2 does?
Team Fusion Buzzsaw Posted June 21, 2022 Team Fusion Posted June 21, 2022 Can you clarify what you mean by 'motion'? Do you mean the BUTTKICKER style force feedback? If that is the case, then no, it is not officially implemented, although you can take a feed of the sound output and get effects.

Translation: "Does anyone know if IL-2 has motion like IL-2 does?" Clearer translation: "Does anyone know if IL-2 Sturmovik: Dover series has motion like IL-2 Sturmovik: Great Battles series does?" Thank you for the video, DD_Arthur. Do you mean the player can move his point of view when he goes to external view? (cannot check this now, nor in the Dover series nor in Great Battles, my rig is momentaneously out of order). Otherwise, same as Buzzsaw I'd like to know if whether or not this video was captured online.
firdimigdi Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 (edited) I think @CDRSEABEE means "motion platform" support. (deduces from the fact that he's active in motion-platform related threads on the IL-2 BOX subforums) Edited June 22, 2022 by Firdimigdi
JV69badatflyski Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 i think he means "floating camera", not fixed to object, that gives the effect that the view is made from another airplane.

I.JG3_CDRSEABEE Posted June 22, 2022 Author Posted June 22, 2022 Sorry. I'm am wanting motion platform support.

343KKT_Kintaro Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Funny, as "corbeau" is French for "crow" or "raven". I guess your platform is one product in the following brand which is a range of products from the "SimGear" company: Corbeau - SimGear - Motion Simulator for Racing and Flight The devs should be able to bring an answer to your query. Good luck.
I.JG3_CDRSEABEE Posted June 22, 2022 Author Posted June 22, 2022 I put it together with the help of a guy named Speegles. He has a website departedreality.com. If you the funds, time and a 3d printer it's well worth the effort. The simulator part is about 5k
343KKT_Kintaro Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 You "put it together" did you say? Do you mean that only the seat has been taken out of a "Corbeau" product?

Thats a really impressive set up CDRSEABEE. I don’t know but I would have thought Cliffs supports this. IL2 1946 did. Buzzsaw should be able to give you a definitive answer.

A new Google query gave that: Corbeau Seats | Bucket Seats, Racing Seats & Harnesses (corbeau-seats.com) So Corbeau, apparently, is not a brand that belongs to SimGear, most likely a brand on its own that is cooperatively used in the SimGear platforms. Congrats to you (and Speegles) for this do-it-yourself concept. I hope that the "Cliffs of Dover" developers will tell you something on the way you should use this platform when flying in the skies of the Dover series of WWII combat flight simulators. 1
Team Fusion Buzzsaw Posted June 24, 2022 Team Fusion Posted June 24, 2022 If IL-2 1946 supports motion, then CLIFFS should as well. But I will check with our Coders.
SCG_Schneemann Posted June 25, 2022 Posted June 25, 2022 It has been discussed. The source code received by TFS was not the final version 1C released at initial release, so even though it has been in the game in the past, it is not currently active at present. It will take a bit of digging to make it active, but at least one of TFS members has a motion simulator, and it will hopefully be included in the future, after the 4K, VR, and trueSky updates are incorporated. It's on the list of things to get back in the game, when time allows. 1
Team Fusion Buzzsaw Posted June 26, 2022 Team Fusion Posted June 26, 2022 Above ^^^^^ is your answer. 1
