lwalter Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 This works fine in other bombers, for example Blenheim, but with Wellington I Late: - in bomber position, I can't (or don't know how to) properly use the bombsight: velocity can't go higher than 65 mph, altitude is limited too, and can't see anything through the gunsight (I tried turning sight illumination on and toggle dimmer, but it doesn't change anything) - in the gunner positions, I can't unpark the gun.
I/JG54_chuishan Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 Hi Iwalter! It is a known bug after a tweaking patch for Wellington bombardier position. All Wellingtons variants (except the torpedo variant, as it does not have a bombardier position) are affected. You will lose control over the aircraft and the gun turrets after switching to bombardier position and the aircraft may freeze in the air. The bug was already reported and acknowledged by the dev team and we are still waiting for it to be fixed. As for the use of the Mk XIV bombsight, you only need to input wind velocity (that's why it cannot exceed 65 mph as it is not aircraft velocity), wind direction, and target elevation values. It is a gyroscopic bombsight that automatically calculates and dials in aircraft speed and altitude.
