i pressed a button idk

I pressed a button, idk which one, by mistake and it did something, idk what, but my pilots head in the p51 is looking outside the window and i can't recenter it.

 

18/10 game design right there, will buy 7 aditional modules and feed them to starving children.

You pressed F10?

 

You can fix it by moving your head again and recentering again using F10. May take a few iterations of whatever movement brings you closer.

I pressed one of the F keys i think, i was in a dogfight and didn't pay attention to the message either. I did look in the keybindings to try and find a "reset camera/view/something logical" but to no avail. What was i thinking that such a key could exist when you need to press ctrl+enter for team chat. Galaxy brain design.

 

If there is no reset button cba moving my head like a %*&#^& to center the view. Better to just not bother playing.

I typically unmap the F10 to avoid this.

Or at least map it to something requiring a control or shift key, so you are less likely to hit it accidentally.

 

It is probably a good idea to make a backup of the snapviews folder if you've made significant changes to the views settings. That way, if you mess them up later, you can restore your own settings, rather than having to start again with the default.

I, on the other hand, have the F10 reset view command mapped to a button on my throttle and combined with the center vr view command, I can change my head position at will. Very convenient and I appreciate the devs anticipating my needs by providing that functionality.

F13 on my keyboard resets my brain ...
