Hi All, In my Trackir 5 profile list I cant find either "Cliffs of Dover Blitz or Desert Wings "  I was wondering if it my be listed under another name ? my next question is that if Trackir does support the above, would it be possible to transfer my profiles from BoS forgotten battles to say "Desert Wings" which would save a lot of re-setting my head tracking controls.

Hi mate,
well, it seems that not all supported games are actually listed in the TrackIR software - so nothing wrong on your side. If I remember correctly, there are only a few
"arcadish" flight simulators or "official" flight simulators like MS Flight Simulator etc. listed there.
And to be honest, I never felt comfy with those standard TrackIR profiles. I always tweaked them to my gusto. But if you don't feel safe in tweaking and messing
around with those profiles, I strongly suggest using one of the profiles published here on the forum. I for instance took the TrackIR profile suggested by @Requiem
and tuned it to my flavour - it works perfectly in CLOD, GB and DCS.

Cheerio

P.S.: Corrigendum: There is actually a list you can find here: https://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/games/
Just click on "flight" filter button - it seems they support more than I thought... sorry.

Thanks Therion, I am acquainted with Requiems profile which I used for sometime, but I used that as base and have now expanded that profile too suit my needs.

I flew Desert Wings extensively last year and spent sometime setting up  joystick and key controls, I went back the other day to check it out and found that all my settings had all gone back to default ! and my joystick was

not recognized. not sure but it my have been an update that may have been the cause ? well its back to square one !!

Updates shouldn‘t change what‘s in your documents/1C SoftClub/Clod folder but this problem seems to happen quite often…

Check if you have any confuser.ini files or control files you’ve saved as with a different name and try to load them.

Also turn Steam Cloud on / off causes this. Ideally it should be off, but maybe if you turn it on Steam loads your old settings if they were saved (with Steam Cloud on at dome point).

I always keep a backup of my controls. Had to use it once so far.

Thanks for the advice,

I forgot profiles in TIR software are even a thing. TIR technically doesn't need them to work in any game, so I have my single, fine tuned one and it works whatever sim I launch. You shouldn't have any issues in CloD then.

Once you get a profile that works for you in all of your flight sims use the "Exclusive" GUI button and it will start that profile no matter what game you use. I use a highly modified Spudknocker profile in both IL2 and DCS, works great, save a copy of the profile from your C/Users/your name/AppData/Roaming/Natural Point/TrackIR 5/Profiles.

Here is my profile if you would like to try it.

Cheers
