Docholiday Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 (edited) Hallo Gents. I still use my 14 years old combo ch Products Fighter Stick, Pedals Pro Throttle. Now I found a Ch Throttle quadrant too ? Can I use the additional quadrant for steering things like Flaps, cooler claps, RPM etc in the game or is there no possibility to overcome the 8 Axis 36 Button limitation of the game ? Thx in advance for sharing Your experience Doc Edited March 31, 2022 by Docholiday
Guest Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 As far as I'm aware it's a 64-function per controller limit. I have three panels plus a stick and rudders and everything is mappable in IL2 (over 64 functions per panel).
=7s7=mahu Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 Hi, the game has a 64 button limit but no axis limit. The axis limit is determined by the controller and is 8 axes per input device. The input device can also have more than 64 buttons, but these are not (or incorrectly) recognized by the IL2 BOS. As far as I know. Markus
SYN_Mugue Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 The game, as it stands now, seems to limit the number of controllers to 8 devices. I run 12 different axis on my 8 devices...you should be fine.
Docholiday Posted March 31, 2022 Author Posted March 31, 2022 Good morning Gentlemen. Thank You for Yor answers ! I configurated the 4 Devices via the CH-Prod. Device manager as 4 different devices. Then I tryed to asign buttons and axes in the games button config menue. But the game did not recognise the axes and buttons of the throttle Quad. Everything else worked ? ! I made a fault but do not know which fault I made. Thx Doc BTW : I am thinking about to replace my old CH combo. Its is sturdy and still works but I assume nowadays there are better controlers in term of sensitivity aso.......??
Charon Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 Does the throttle quadrant work in the Windows joystick tester? If so, it sounds like you might have hit the game's limit of 8 devices. In the game directory, are all devices listed in input/devices.txt ? If this is the problem, you may find my guide here to be useful.
Lusekofte Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 Ì have 1 glv throttle 8 axes 1 bravo throttle 6 axes 1 fulcrum yoke 2 axes 1 custom made stick 3 axes 1 rudder pedal 4 axes 1 collective 2 axis And a ********* of buttons going with them. They all work He have not reach a limitation

Give a look in VKB Controllers, VirPil, WIngWing, that have stick base made in metal (steel, aluminum) with bearings in pivots, contactless sensors (derivative from automotive industry), grips with axes (twist, brake lever, mini-stick). 2
nozedyve Posted April 1, 2022 Posted April 1, 2022 (edited) I have 18 axes in the game, including the CH Throttle Quadrant. I don't use any key mapping software (such as CH Control Manger), I just assign all the axes, switches, buttons etc. directly in the game. Everything works well - unlike the pilot! Docholiday Posted April 1, 2022 Author Posted April 1, 2022 Hallo fellow pilots ? @nozedyve I will try to use the CH-combo without the ch konf. Now I am feeling like a child waiting for christmas ? thank You all for Your good advices. see You in the blue skys ? Doc
