Oh boy! I've been waiting for this a long time.... since IL2 1946 Compare and another I don't recall the name.

Are you open to suggestions???

For instance, it is just a silly thing but it helped a lot when I started ...

The seconds of firing time with every weapon. For example, the Bf109 E7 firing the cannons are VERY limited in ammo, seconds of firing time?

It helps a lot to control the happy trigger tendency :)

This is pretty cool, saves me quite a bit of time pulling off specs of each plane after release.

Any chance of a resizeable window?  Currently, I use it on a 1360x768 monitor, and the bottom gets cut off.

Thanks

I suggest you use lighter shades of red and green to make it easier to read the values

It's great and if you could eventually add CLOD's planes (or make another version for it) that would be awesome.

So far so good, really like the resize window capability.

Anxiously waiting on the Spit 14 and Typhoon ;)

Also, on the main screen, "lenght" should be "length" ;)

Intriguing. In this case I would have to develop a dedicated version of the program. Maybe in the future!

They will come when I add Battle of Normandy. I hope soon.

Thank you all for your suggestions

Hello! Nice work.

Would you like some help with the weapon systems?

- The rockets for the Fw-190-F8 are missing

- I think it would be good to have the 'explosive charge' listed for each of the bombs and rockets. For instance, the British GP bombs had less explosives than the MC bombs (or the American GP bombs).

- Similarly, the ratio of explosives in an RP-3 AP rocket, RP-3 HE/SAP, and RS-132 are dramatically different. Having the velocity of the rockets might also be useful.

- It might also be good to have a more detailed section (e.g. in the ordinance) for the different guns... including the bursting charge for an HE rounds and the energy in kJ for the AP rounds (as well as estimated penetration?)

Let me know if you'd be interested in information in any of these areas!

Yes, I’m very interested! Any info, help or suggestion is appreciated!

It is my intention to enrich the armaments section as much as possible.

Awesome, thanks!

I have one suggestion, please make it possible to select the countries to compare. I'd like to be able to, for instance, see the difference between different versions of the Bf-109 :)

I'm sorry but this is not possible for me as I would have to redesign all the main window and the program structure. This app was conceived by me as a help before and during the flight to get an idea of what each pilot can expect in each mission. If I fly, for example, with a Bf-109 G6, I don't have to care what features a Bf-109 G4 or any other friendly aircraft has. I only have to worry about enemy planes and strategic targets.
Thanks anyway for your suggestion.

One way around this is to open two instances of the program and align them side by side. Not ideal in that there's no colour coding, but it works ;)

@marcobona Question - All the aircraft performance data was from the "in game" aircraft data correct and not from any external source - like Wikipedia, yes?

Nice program, thanks!

Yes. Performance data are from SIm; while power plant, weights, lengths and ranges are from Internet database

even in game data is not corect for some airplanes as when they change their FM they dont update specs for airplanes, exmp is recent 51 and 109 changes, im game say old data before fm changes.

On this new version, Windows Defender is detecting a virus, and prevents to open the .rar, previous version was working fine.

As I wrote in the main topic:

Warning: Some antiviruses may detect the executable inside the file .rar as a Trojan virus. It's not like that. The program is safe and tested in a protected environment.

My computer will not let install it. It is installed as severe threat and neutralized automatically.

What did change so much between previous version and new version to the point of window defender no longer accepting it?

Adding more planes shall not cause change of behavior.

Ok. I removed a link to an YouTube Channel (The Air Combat Tutorial Library), and now it works without problems.

Added also a more detailed infos for Axis and Allies Ordnance.

Disable your antivirus. Download and unrar the exe file and execute it.

I think i would rather stick with the old version which was not flagged as virus.

For goodness sake, the file does not contain a virus!

Windows Defender does not like the file either, but I just tell it to download anyway. When I run the executable to install it, once again Windows Defender say the file is unsafe, I click on install anyway, and all is fine.

Regards,

Scott

I submitted for malware analysis my file il2box.exe to Microsoft Security Intelligence portal. This is the result:
