Lusekofte Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 (edited) First off. I am after a better set than Rift S But same easy setup. And same gpu. I am not into a perfect setup. More like as easy as Rift S No extra for tracking Is it worth while changing to HP G2 from a Rift S and still use gtx 1080ti They sell cheap used now Edited March 11, 2022 by LuseKofte
Panzerlang Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 I had decent results with my G2 on a 1080Ti. Balanced settings. To run it... Turn on headset. Turn on software. Might have to do a boundary reset so my head can move freely in the cockpit, takes 30 seconds. Turn on Necksafer. Turn on IL2. 1 1
kissTheSky Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 @LuseKofte, I don’t know how Rift S might be (G2 is my first HMD), but G2 with my G2/2080S w/balanced settings was great! yes, the sweet spot is narrow, yes when light conditions change unexpectedly, you may “step” out of the cockpit and back, but the resolution and clarity was definitely worth it for me. The first several weeks, I was just flying alone, with no opponents, wondering what a wonderful “world” I was in. 1
Lusekofte Posted March 16, 2022 Author Posted March 16, 2022 I fly little to none except some JU 52 sorties in Finnish server and coop twice a week if I am home. I like VR for one reason only. Being inside these historical aircraft. This is why I care less about spotting , outside beauty. Thanks for the responses. I no longer going to be active here. But I had no where else to ask.
