Voyager Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 So I've got my TM Warthog on a pedestal mount with a 20cm extension. Recently the grip has started to wobble slightly against its nut. Basically the part that screws into the extension seems to have started to get loose from the base of the grip. It's still tight against the extension though. Any ideas on what could be causing this or how to fix it? Thank you, Harry Voyager
Hoss Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 You need the 3D printed collar I got that fits between the grip and nut. It stops all movement and slop, but you need to tighten the screws on the grip too.
Voyager Posted March 9, 2022 Author Posted March 9, 2022 @Hoss Those are the screws that run around the outside of the nut? Do you have the dimensions for the collar? I don't know if I can get access to a 3D printer, but I wonder if I could use telfon tape to fill the gap?

Look at the grip itself and tighten the screws that hold the two halves together. What happens is that they loosen and the metal shaft inside "clicks" when you move it - it feels like it is the collar but isn't. von Tom 1

I may need a pipe wrench of some sort?

They may feel tight but just tighten them a bit more. von Tom 1

paul_leonard Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 Be very very careful. I also had some loosening from my extension. I also had trouble getting off and gave it a little english and broke an internal piece called the Activation Sphere. Now I'm doing this: ThrustMaster HOTAS Warthog, Complete Disassembly, Grease Replacement, Stiction problem, fix - Bing video Found someone who 3D prints the sphere. Thrustmaster will send parts under warranty but it's not going that quick. Hope this isn't your problem.

The front bottom screw, (the one beneath the autopilot paddle) was actually fairly loose, and tightening that one fixed the wobble I was getting. 1 1
