Roland_HUNter Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 Hi! Is there any way to test my ammunition louadouts in single? Thank you for the help!
9./JG52_J-HAT Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 (edited) This is the procedure I’ve seen recommended: Go in multiplayer and edit the loadout (Default) the way you want and it should work in SP. What I do is to edit a loadout (in mp or under Planes) and save as. Then load this loadout in the aircraft selection screen (quick missions). The single mission loadouts as mostly locked afaik. This works at least for bombs and drop tanks. Another way (more complicated but faster depending on how you go about it) is to copy and edit multiple ini files with different loadouts directly in the game’s Documents folder. So there is not a chance to test it, like: change the loadout in the settings and then hop in into a quick mission?

Not for the bullets, no. Just tested it again by removing tracers from the left nose machine gun on a 109. For sp the game only considers the first page on the Options/Plane page (where you can edit your loadouts). So you can change bombs, fuel, fuel tanks etc. but not the belting. Whatever changes you try to make to Default need to be saved as. As I was afraid it would be, it is still a long standing bug. 1
9./JG52_J-HAT Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 (edited) @Roland_HUNter Oh, just read something that reminded me you can edit / create a mission in the FMB and use your loadouts there. So you can test it this way. post #8 https://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28709 ———————————————————————— There are some recommended beltings already stablished though, so you don’t need to do too much testing. RAF: https://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13167 LW: https://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27988 For non-armored targets (ie fighters) put in 3 Minengeschoß, 1 Brandgr., 1 Panzerbrandgr. in the MG FF/M or 151/20 20 mm cannons. Sprenggranate is the Minengeschoß equivalent for non /M MG FF (109E-3). Albeit way weaker in explosive power. page 33 for reference too: https://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/Vorschriften/Schiessfibel.pdf For the D.520 and US aircraft I don’t know / couldn’t find anything. Dagwoodyt Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 (edited) I use the FMB without entering the MP menu. I also modify convergence and ammo belts via the “user” file using notepad. The various ammo types available are coded by number though I haven’t generated a list. Maybe someone else has. Edited March 3, 2022 by Dagwoodyt

FullMissionBuilder? How could I use it?

Typically, since there is no QMB, I mod and save a stock mission then select the modded mission in the FMB. After saving a custom loadout under the Options/planes tab I call that custom belting up in the FMB, select it and save the mission.

There are many FMB tutorials on YouTube. I would start there. Have a look at your "user" file. You can edit the "user" file using notepad. TBH familiarity with those basics is a "must" for Blitz. Blitz is not Great Battles. You can always use the MP menu option. I am just pointing out another way to set ammo belts/convergence. Edited March 3, 2022 by Dagwoodyt 1
