I think there's a missed opportunity here. Recent patches killed all the user generated missions (have to resave them all), and there aren't that many great missions that ship with the game for a given machine to start with. TIGRE88 put a ton of effort into creating many good missions, which broke in a recent patch, but also suffer from an AI turret bug. He's pulled his missions and is upset this bug has been there since Sept of last year at least.  I'm not bug reporting per-se, but wanted to call attention to the fact that given the dearth of content, don't let Tigre's hard work go to waste as this user content is what keeps this game worth playing. Tank crew was a great start, but it is expensive and feature incomplete.. Don't let it die on the vine.

S!,

I 100% support this sentiment. Tigre88 is a master mission builder and very much worth the download. His missions/campaigns are a great supplement to the TC experience.

Note that user-generated missions breaking after an update is expected. The developers update the built-in missions when necessary, but it's up to outside mission makers (or those that download their missions) to resave their missions. You can do bulk resaves by following the procedure in this post. Cheers!

of course, it's a solution, but that's not the problem... the problem is well summarized at the end of the quote

it lacks a lot of content, whether in terms of official missions (two campaigns, the other modes are very limited...), gameplay (lack of compass or other tools that would open the gameplay of navigation, little interaction in tanks, very weak AI, complex but limited order system...), cosmetic contents... and all this is largely filled / improved by modders (modders are like even people who WORK FOR FREE to improve games)  and official support is not very present or even totally absent.

the patches are not very present or absent for Tank Crew when we compare with the plane part...

and add to that that some bugs have been present for quite some time, reported and not corrected (when you see that some aircraft fixes arrive a few days after the updates...)

when you pay 120$ (it 2 sturmovik + the Tank Crew addon) (buy in early access period, saying to yourself "come on, let's support this studio which many praise!") to play a tank simulation and that now about 1 year after the release, you have that... there you go...

I think (I said "I think", me personally) that there are a lot of tankers who like this game, want to see it evolve, but the current progress is a bit depressing... and if you add the sometimes very disparaging remarks from some, it gives the impression that the part of the tank players is not taken seriously...

@moustache, this is your personal opinion, you can go so far in reasoning. At the moment, everything that you have published in the bugs has been fixed or work on the fix has been postponed to a later date, since there is still a plan to develop new technologies with a limited number of developers.

P.S.... and planes also require corrections.

Tigre88´s missions/campaigns were awesome but because of this bug most if not all of his 180+ missions are unplayable

I did see the AI problem, but my post dealt only with what people may perceive to be a bug or mistake by the developers, that is, patches breaking user missions.

Here is a video just made today to show "again" the problem of the turret pointing all the time in one direction, while the order was given to the AI to not touch the turret controls.
this problem is triggered because my tank is part of a platoon.
As you can see this game is a pure success since the last 4 or 5 updates «1 year » .........

Thats true, but there is a clear disproportion in number of fixes/new content if you look at the patchnotes ? imho

That sounds like a business problem... Not a player one.

TC needs to receive some care or ya'll need to nut up and announce that it's canceled and won't receive any future priority.

Wow, I was just giving my opinion, and even if I don't necessarily agree with some answers, we may not start a war, I have the impression that things are heating up in the comments... peace, brothers

Sorry I understood it like that, sorry if I distorted your words...

Like all posts things seem to get out of hand quickly. The point wasn't about having to resave missions, though that sucks for everybody, but about the ai bug which, as a developer I expect is probably minor, just not a priority. I fully understand the tradeoffs, but again, the missed opportunity is a small bug vs. scores of great missions that now we can't play. Seems like an easy trade off to put 5-10% of tech debt time towards TC of the total. Splitting teams across the main feature, TC and the WWI stuff might be one game too many seems like, and its clear where TC falls in the hierarchy.  I don't even play that much FB anymore, but still buy all the stuff to support the devs.. just don't forget us in return.

i waited a long time for it to go on sale and picked it up yesterday real cheap , the turret bug is a game killer and the keybindings for it just dont work tried for the first time this morning and the mouse + turret keybinding worked great without trackir being on i was using my vkb to steer and accelerate no problems i took a break and when i came back it no longer worked! no turret control, nothing  ????

I've never lost control linkage to the game. I'm using a Logitech X52 Pro HOTAS, and the mouse for the scroll wheel zoom and looking around. My TrackIR is disabled (F9) when I'm in tanks. (In an aircraft cockpit the TrackIR FOV limitations make more sense.)

The worst I've experienced is that occasionally the turret control bug kicks in, or I mistakenly activate the gun travel lock.

i have not lost faith in the developers they always come thru ,and i guess there are different issues on diff. systems. i took a break from DCS for a long time ago because of a stutter issue that ended up being the virus scan causing the lag so you never know..

So last night i totally deleted il2 off of my system uninstalled it from steam to see if that might help i reinstalled it last night and went to bed! anyway fired it up a half hour ago.

i have had il2 a long time and  dont ever recall needing an account with a password its not a GodDamn Bank Account its a n f...ng game anyway it works! I had to and i am not finished re doing key binds and that will have to be for everything starting from scratch. its worth it if everything works and i hope this account password crap dont hang me up i am sick and tired to need an account to have to take a DUMP so i can give the hackers more opportunities to steal info off my system and at 64 my memory is not what it used to be. Letting google store my passwords does not comfort me and every time microsoft develops a new system they become more intrusive so it seems tank crew is working but it always comes at a cost
