I would gladly download and fly those missions if they are available on the 1cgs forum for Blitz (?).  I have no desire to sign up to ATAG.

Afaik it is the only place these missions are hosted. Or most of the things CloD related that were created over the years for that matter.

Mark my words: CloD VRimplementation will coincide exactly with big GBBoX with Gotha andPlaneX ( Ju-88?) I’ll be torn apart deciding what to play!

BET ON IT!!!!

I think Tobruk map lack contrast. high sun make little shadow. To me in 2 D it all is a sea of orange.

I really like to see how that play out in VR.

If one fly in a squad, clod is far better than GB in many ways, in my opinion.

For a loner like me, a occasional Wellington mission will be executed.

It depends on the time of day (and the terrain too). Not the same overflying the desert at 10 a.m. than overflying it at 6 p.m...

And this is actually a real danger when Ski flying on overcast days onto lakes with fresh powder - or float flying onto glassy water. You lose depth perception and need to perform a different type of landing. I suspect they had the same concerns out in the desert with very few features.

I remember remarking in a post prior to the TF5.0 release and somewhat facetiously that the seemingly bland DW-T terrain would be a plus, permiting high frame rates. I think I received an enthusiastic reply from someone to the effect "quite so". My first view of the cities and wadis immediately post DW-T release somehow reminded me of the OG Tombraider. I don't know quite why that was so, but certainly I felt that I had told myself what to expect. The terrain continues to be worked on by the Team which is all to the good. Also I can fly the DW-T aircraft on the Channel map and never revisit the desert map.

I've had Blitz for years. But only played 20 minutes as I'm VR only flyer  but bought Tobruk to get into the VR beta.

Cleaned up the thread and issued bans. Do not go after one another in these posts. Ad hominems will not be tolerated, period.

Congratulations to each one that is now a part of the VR Beta testing team. I hope each of you will take the time to seriously test CLOD/DWT and help TFS make VR the best that it can possibly be in this awesome sim. Good luck!

Whats the issue with steam?

Don't like it, don't need an alibi, nor a reason.  They can go get stuffed.

other than Oculus+OpenComposite all other HMD's use openvr/openXR implementation of SteamVR, or custom OpenXR implementation, however it's still tied to SteamVR. Perhaps your beef could be with Steam itself rather than SteamVR ? ?

Please stay on topic. Anyway, we already exceeded the deadline to submit applications so there's no reason to stay on the thread. Admins may keep the thread as it is in the eventuality of a future application phase... or they may close it. Up to them.

If you are going to be a VR tester there is a 1v1 matchup I would like you to try for me.

Dagwoodyt, with respect, but if you are not part of the Team Fusion Simulations top management... you simply cannot ask such a request.

Then to anyone else:  Try a 1v1 mission in a Spitfire 1A vs an AI in a CR.42. It seems the CR.42 will attempt at most a few aggresive passes then become a target drone that will not fire back even when opportunity presents. In other instances it will climb for altitude like the Bf109 (~20k ft.) and then act as a drone. As a drone the CR.42 does amazing gyrations. I just wondered how those gyrations would work out in VR HMDs, but I guess we will see in the "public" beta.

Apologies, Thanks!

At any rate, the purpose here, in this thread, is over. As I was saying : "we already exceeded the deadline to submit applications so there's no reason to stay on the thread. Admins may keep the thread as it is in the eventuality of a future application phase... or they may close it. Up to them".

This is probably an unnecessary request, but please will the first beta testers please post here and at ATAG when they are notified that the test ,hopefully at the end of next week, has been begun? It might save a day or two of checking- hopefully it will also be showing up on steam's home page as well?
