Only one question.  About the aircraft management, any news? (engine, systems....).
I don't know if this new sim will be a new Il2 1946 (the same with different graphic engine), or if the level will be like we can see in DCS World, for example.
The videos are great, but I can put here one video of Birds of Prey with similar level, and BoP isn't a flight simulator.

Thx!

Best update so far.  Looking forward to a snowy hot summer!

Guys, are these the final speech samples? They sound as native and as dramatic as the computerized voice at the railway Station "Train ... to ... City ... is leaving ... from ... platform ... six".

It's quite hard to find anything final in the current version. Except for aircraft models I think :)

I hear over the radio: 'F????hren Sie Ihre Befehle aus!'

I don't know what is said in the 2nd part of the clip: '...aus wie ...  ....lich ist.' (or something like that)

The same here. The first part was not well to hear, but understandable. Re-listened the 2nd one several times, but no chance to understand them. Though, it's not a real issue for me... :popcorm:

EDIT: Posted just right after you, ZAK, so it's only for the 'protocol'... :);)

The 109
The Roll Rate is acceptable.

But I have some questions .

1) What is the speed, for less responce on elevators for BF 109, 580 KM / h - 650 KM/ H - 700 KM/H ?

2) In dive test of the Luftwaffe the BF 109 F Archived 915 KM /H, without any damage, took into account that ?

3) The wing edge Slats , What is the speed for slats deploy ?

Many pilots with several aerial victories, they said, the wings stats just came out at very very low speed ONLY.

Only in landings are noticed.

Veri nice update Thanks !! :salute:

German law forbids sim with swastikas. I do not know of other countries. A non official mod can add a X to the current symbol and turn it easily around to a historic correct symbol.

Bf-109 from JG54? I know its nearly a trademark for Il-2 Sturmovik, but no Grunherz this time, please!  :)

@Manfred:

After relistening the 2nd part is something like: 'Der aus.... ist ausgef????hrt.'

Very different than what I initially thought.

@Zak:

A relief to read that anything in the video isn't final yet.

So therefore I leave my comments about the woods, the landtextures, the villages, the airfield, the lighting etc. for what it is.

It doesn't make sense when it is not close to final state.

Yes, I like the planes, the cockpits and their dynamic shadow effect but I seem to be the only one at the moment who is not that much charmed about the landscape.

In a way it reminds me of a bump mapped IL2 default Moscow map or a kind of place holder. It all is still a bit bland.

Really looking forward to see the map from high and low altitude when close to final state though.

BIG NEWS???

Oh boy! :o:

Really like the looks of the video. But I could very well do without this type of generic automated radio calls being carried over into future versions of the game. I know this was kind of standard in IL-2 before, but as in the video the Germans just sound like robots, not humans (pilots) of flesh and blood. To make them sound authentic and relevant would take a lot more, both in quality and quantity. So unless that could be done, I'd prefer radio silence, or whatever you hear from your fellow pilots via Teamspeak.

Sorry, don't mean to be too critical, and I know it's early in development.

;)

Everybody have a great weekend.

If it's for my question, I'm here to know about one new flight simulator.
The videos are greats, but this videos aren't a simulator, they're only videos. I think that to ask about this isn't a problem or offensive for nothing.
Maybe my English isn't good to do questions, maybe.

If not for my question, 777 is making this product for money, it's a business. I think that 777 is doing a good job with this new sim, but it's no free, remember this, and I will give thanks to 777 at the moment that this sim go out with my money, like i did with RoF, DCS, Il2, BoP, and all simulators and "no simulator" that we have from Il2 Sturmovick  ;)

I read or heard in a video interview of a veteran (at least one time) that it sometimes was happening at very slow speed in dogfights, interfering the stability of the plane. The pilot had to correct or (re-)catch the plane and lost a few moments (and maybe also his shooting position/advantage/life).

Uufflakke, phantastic, obviously you've got very good ears! :salute:

Looking forward to more footage, and the big news announced.

3) The wing edge Slats , What is the speed for slats deploy ?

Slats deploy at a certain angle of attack, not speed. In practice this means fairly low speeds. In theory they could deploy at very high speeds, too, but that would be impossible due to required elevator forces and airframe load limits.

I doubt if this will be 46 with a different graphics engine.. and I am pretty sure it won't be like DCS.. at least not from a CEM standpoint.. but graphically BoP,WoP,DCS,CoD they all look great.. so if BoS winds up looking like any of them or as good as either of them I will be happy.. but I think BoS will have it's own spot.. and it will fill that spot nicely and that spot will be very well occupied and a lot of folks will be very satisfied.

I hear: "War unser Einsatzgebiet"

Ok, but I could have swore I had heard "Rapunzel! Bruce Springsteen is in the house". Mind you, I have to wear powerful hearing aids in both ears, so it's quite possible I am gravely mistaken.

Take that with a "Biblical pillar of Salt", as if the entire London Philharmonic Orchestra were playing in my back garden I would be likely be oblivous. "No matter".  I believe your version of the transmission is most probably closer to the truth.

 Carry on.

I heard "mine schnitzel ist hoontercooket"  - and since this is a pre-beta vid - that makes perfect sense as so is the product.

but you can see from these raw bones of it that the work is going in the right direction.

FWIW I like the sound level and quality of the R/T transmissions...audio in the cockpit seems accurate from my time in small planes and from any number of recordings you can listen to

on the web...and it was early 1940's afterall  - R/T shouldnt sound like Bose ultra HD headphones

Thank you for this it is looking and sounding very very good :)

Please keep the updates of developers and ignore the minus thoughts that say this is the sim finished.

Many of us know this is not close to the final version. You have people here who want to always say bad thoughts I think :(

The final version of BoS will be a lot different to what you show and what you show is very ecxiting and good.

LOl Id buy and play this RIGHT NOW.  Whats all this disappointment with its current state?  It looks fantastic.  So many "EXPERTS" here that are convincing themselves out of having a good time. Its comedic.

I have to agree. CloD has the same system for voices and it is extremely poor. The original Il-2 was much better, although the repertoire was small.

Very nice update and I'm looking forward to seeing more in future. I'd especially be interested in the in-cockpit movies of dogfights.

Not really related to this update:

I'm actully not sure whether this questions have yet been asked but I'm quite curious about the possibility to disable status messages such as throtte settings, flaps and engine overheat. In Il-2 you can simply switch those off with NoHudlog = 1. However, it then becomes quite challanging to remember how often you pressed certain switches / buttons, as some of the corresponding visual indicators are not displayed or operative. For instance the tail wheel lock is, as far as I know and at least for the 109, not indicated in any way. So it would be quite imporant to have an operative visual indicator for each possible adjustment which can be made in the cockpit.

Would the "hard" difficulty settings also ensure the speedbar is not visibile? In IL-2 you still have to manually do this by "speedbar HIDE".

Of course, but only I'm asking about information of the level of simulator, only this.
I know that you said, because I have Rise of Flight in my hard disk, and I know that 777 know to do a good job, but I'm waiting for a video, for example, with propeller pitch 100% and engine power 100%, or one full stall, or one hole in the engine and oil loss, or one hole on one wing, or one hole in water radiator, or one hidraulic system fault, information that implicate the machine simulator and their systems simulator.

I know too that one "real" simulator isn't attractive for all people, and 777 is  to sale to the maximum client possible, not only for the people that like the simulator. (and look, for me Il2 1945 isn't a real simulator, but is the best "WWII air battle simulator", but not the best aircraft simulator, and Il2 1946 is on market from, what year?.)
The same I can say of World of Tanks, I know about other real tanks simulators, but WoT is using for a lot of gente and the "real simulators tanks " no.

I know that this Il2 BoS is still young, and as I said I know RoF, but only I can see videos, great videos, and the affirmation that this product will be a simulator..Ok., show me the simulator.

But remember all people, to ask it's free, and I'm only doing this.

Yes, you should be able to fly without any notifications. That's how we fly it now, for instance, and what you see in the videos is what we see in the game - no indicators and such stuff. Any flaps position change - heh, you're going to sence it for sure without any numbers and percents in the corner

Yes, that was understood. The second one is "verlasse Einsatzgebiet", that one was still open.

For non German speakers: "Execute your orders" and "Leaving mission area".

Another great video. I'm hoping for some longer, more detailed video soon. Flight seems very fluid in all the video we've seen so far. There is one thing I'm not seeing in these videos and that's the little micro pauses that plagued IL-2 classic from the beginning to one degree or another.  One patch they would seem to be gone only to reappear in a later patch. Lots of config tweaking always seemed to be needed. So much adds to immersion, but lack of fluid flight and little pauses absolutely kills it for me more than anything else.

I just re-watched last week's video and noticed when the Yak's canopy was rolled back that the view became clearer. When it was closed again, it was like looking thru a real transparent surface. I don't think I've seen that before. I've seen scratches and such but nothing that simulated it so realistically.

All thanks to a proven game engine, and a team that has the know how to really take a future project and make it a true success!

I noticed that effect on the canopy as well, very cool.
