How about best settings for quality? I found all type of post about running smooth play but nothing about quality.

I'm running RTX 2070 Ultra

i9900k (5.01 MHz)

12gb memory

res 2560x1440

Asus XG32V

Nvidia control panel with Nvidia Inspector

Runs flawless with ultra settings never dropping under 59 fps

But yet distance view looks like antialiasing not doing it's job? Roads and runways are looking jagged and even some non smooth edges.

I have all Antialiasing  set to application controlled in Nvidia control panel and Inspector

I've heard that setting these up helps.

land_anisotropy = 2
land_detail = 1
land_tex_lods = 3

Especially anisotropy and detail.

Try

land_anisotropy = 17
    land_detail = 9
    land_tex_lods = 4?

I'll give it a shot. Thanks!

@JG7_RudeRaptor a bit of necro thread but try to enable FXAA in Nvidia Control Panel on top off MSAA in game it helps a lot for horizon and land in my case.

Hey Raptor, did you get anywhere with this,
Since the latest up date, my game look terrible, very jagged and ground objects, especially buildings and trees look really blurred and jagged from certain angles.
This also coincided with an Nvidia driver update.
I'm running a slighty different card, but it shouldn't look this bad.

And I (almost) thought the bad anti-aliasing is an exclusive AMD thing. Good to know.

and_anisotropy = 17

this has no affect

It is and stays at 8x  in the filter file and will revert back to 8 x  no matter  what number you put

0 / 1 / 2 are the only settings I have found that create a change in anisotropy
