Combined Arms Missions

Just for the fun of it I opened up some combined arms type missions under our SCG CorZero Server to share with the community.  These particular missions are from the German Offensive perspective and best played either air or ground with a couple of buddies on comms and working together.  However, the missions are still a lot of fun for anyone who wants to try something a little different.   Air combat will be against AI only, however Soviet tank players can mount up against German opponents.  Alot of Soviet AI armor and AT, artillery to go up against which is good for practicing.

 

For squads, these missions are good to form up with escort Jabo missions, going against heavy flak positions as you try  and eliminate ground opposition for the advancing panzers.  Or for ground combat, teaming up with several panzers to accomplish the objectives. 

 

I have 3 missions which rotate, Operation WinterStorm, Kalach Summer, and Lapino Autumn.

For those that haven't done these missions before, you're missing out. Fair warning, the artillery barrage will kill you if you don't move!

Thanks mate. Was hoping this was a permanent one. I wonder how much it costs to host a permanent one for tankers on the tanker map.

Well, this server will be up for most of the time.  Heinz, we just have some of these missions open for anyone who wants to jump in, but for this Sunday, we are going Finnish at 100PM. 

I apologize to some guys that were in there this morning when I accidently closed the server, instead of my browser.  Also, don't be too hard on me for the design as they were made primarily for us, and I have no idea how they will work in an open concept.  There are no bells and whistles.  

 

I can say that SCG TeRReF has some designs that are state of the art, coming soon that we are very excited to share with the Community.

Man, I was looking forward to some concentrated tank action this after noon. However, I'll try to meet up w/y'all around 1-2pm. I've got a little streak going, so it's time for me to end it in a glorious fireball

Not sure this is going to work from an open ended server concept, but stay tuned for SCG TeRReF and his mission build here soon.  His will be designed for 24/7 with some cool features.

No that's not it.  I had to take it down because the missions are designed from a German Offensive push against Soviet AI, but I designed them to have Soviet tanks/aircraft available from objective points so we could have pvp, against German players, but since there is no German AI setup as a defense if someone gets in there and uses a Soviet tank, they can easily capture the German starting base and disrupt the entire mission.  So, long story is, I have to keep these kinds of missions closed server.  I'm going to keep it up though for other squads who want to use it and I will PM you the pw, so you can try it out.

 

I have learned over the years that you get the best effect with limited numbers of players having a large number of players on one side go against mainly AI enemy, but with a few human players mixed in to balance out the immersion factor.  But to guys just popping in there..they don't really know that and it just gets impossible to police it.

 

Our Servers always start out with SCG....

Neun. Thanks for dropping in today when I loaded your server. Was a good little bit of fun running in your server. Inspired me to map my HOTAS joystick for tanks. Looking forward to trying some more.
