I didn't follow the whole discussion, but as soon as I read you had problem with HP I jumped in. They became my arci-enemy. My headset had a problem ("cable is not linked", it said), I wrote to the costumer care and they did nothing for more than 3 months. Then I wrote to the HP Facebook page, both Italian and English one, and in 3 days they sent to me a new headset that works. Don't know if can be useful for you too, but I can absolutely understand your emotions Edited December 9, 2021 by ITAF_Airone1989

I've decided I'm just going to send it back for a refund and wait on the Aero. I definitely love flying in VR - it's a whole lot of fun - but when I can't rely on the thing to work properly, it's time to make a change. Edited December 9, 2021 by LukeFF 1

Good move, My HP Reverb 2 lasted 2 days, failed and I sent it back for a refund, and bought the Vive Pro2 which I like better.

When it works good it is truly awesome. Hopefully the Aero will be the answer several of us are looking forward to. I sure do hope Varjo is testing their software on Windows 11 as well.

Luke, sorry to hear of all the issues and this may have already been suggested but have you got the latest power cable (has an on-off switch on the box)? I have the old cable and have no issues but that means nothing..

1CGS LukeFF Posted December 9, 2021 Author 1CGS Posted December 9, 2021 So, on the off chance it's something to do with my unit, I contacted HP support this morning. The only problem is, my unit's serial number is not in their system. ? The rep said it might be on my purchase page from Walmart and...nothing. Anyone go through the warranty process with a unit purchased from Walmart?

[CPT]Crunch Posted December 10, 2021 Posted December 10, 2021 Luke, in your device manager under the Universal serial bus controllers, all the USB Hubs, under the power management tab, allowing the computer to turn off your USB's to save power automatically, unticked for each hub? They're on by default, can and will do that sort of crap.
