Talisman Posted October 19, 2021 Posted October 19, 2021 Hi Folks, How about this for some good early jet action? 1965 India-Pakistan war: How IAF's heroes slayed PAF's superior Sabre fighter jets (theprint.in) Would be nice to get a collection of the aircraft in this war together for some IL-2 GB air combat action. Might make good business sense too and open up new markets and customers. Happy landings, Talisman
Eisenfaustus Posted October 19, 2021 Posted October 19, 2021 I personally wouldn’t be thrilled to be honest. I‘m in it for the WWII action - and if we leave WWII then I would prefer the other direction in time. Spain, Finland or China for example.

I have to say that while I'm very much like @Eisenfaustusin that WWII is the big attraction for me, I took the time to look at your link to get a feel for what you're putting forward and this is the list of aircraft I pulled out of it; Indian Air Force DeHavilland Vampire Folland Gnat Hawker Hunter Pakistan Air Force North American Sabre Lockheed Starfighter Lockheed C-130 Hercules Plus some tanks...I may have missed something. That's the kind of format you need to produce in order to grab anyones attention. I would fly Indian as the Starfighter is out of place in this arena altogether and the Sabre is out dated by both the Gnat & the Hunter. I've been in a Red Arrows Gnat once, beutiful little machine and the Hunter is up there with the best looking ever. Intersting idea and good story anyhow, thanks 48 minutes ago, ZachariasX said: That would make sense in DCS. That's a good idea. Edited October 19, 2021 by Pict
Ribbon Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 Plenty of ww2 battles and aircrafts missing so NO thnx!
migmadmarine Posted October 29, 2021 Posted October 29, 2021 Interesting idea, but we've not even gotten to Korea yet, so I would certainly hope to see more of WWII and that covered first.
