BruteJetdrag Posted October 4, 2021 Posted October 4, 2021 (edited) Hello, Just purchased Blitz and Desert Wings. I'm used to BoX, but have flown a few missions in this engine now. A persistent problem I'm having is when a mission loads in, the screen is black, no sound. After alt+tab once or twice it will kick in the sound and audio. Only other software I'm using is Open Track 2.3.12. General hardware is Mouse and Keyboard, PS3 Eye camera, Gladiator NXT, TCWS throttle/pedals. I have a 2k Acer Predator monitor with 144hz refresh. Thanks in advance. Edited October 4, 2021 by BruteJetdrag
9./JG52_J-HAT Posted October 4, 2021 Posted October 4, 2021 Has it always been like that or started after a while? I’ve had this out of nowhere when my ingame frequency was set to 144Hz (which would be correct for my monitor…), not 60 Hz. Changing it to 60 Hz sort of solved it but then setting the Launcher64.exe to Windows 7 solved it for good. Then I could also go back to 144Hz and the problem never happened again. Also had never happened before tbh. Maybe try this until someone with a more concrete suggestions comes along?
BruteJetdrag Posted October 4, 2021 Author Posted October 4, 2021 It has always been like this since the first time I booted it up. I will try out your suggestions and see if they work for me. Thanks for the advice!

So just to be clear after changing Launcher64.exe to Win 7 compatible and running one time the Hz can be set back to native, which is 244hz for me? S!Blade<><
LLv34_Flanker Posted October 15, 2021 Posted October 15, 2021 S! @BladeMeister Go for Win 7 compatability and 60Hz, run once and a quick mission maybe. Then shut down the game, clear Cache in 1CSoftClub folder and restart game setting back to whatever your native refresh rate is. I have not had these issues on my righ though, loads normally and I run Windows 11 too 1

Or maybe just in CLOD --> 2560X1440 60hz. Thanks for the tip of run CLOD one time and then clear cache and then reset refresh rate. I have not tried that yet. I did try Win7 compat and 60 Hz in NVCP and in game also, but I continued to have crashes about 20 minutes in. The sim looks and performs well, so I will keep working to find a fix. I did a second file integrity check and all showed good. Probably will check it again tonight just to make sure. Thanks again for the ideas. S!Blade<><
BruteJetdrag Posted October 15, 2021 Author Posted October 15, 2021 Just want to report back that Win 7 compatability and 60Hz worked for me. No problems now 1 1

No problems now Yes, but did you change to 'your reslution' 60hz in CLOD only or in CLOD and in Nvidia Control Panel or just in NVCP only??? S!Blade<><
LLv34_Flanker Posted October 15, 2021 Posted October 15, 2021 S! I set on CP Highest available and in game the refresh rate. 1
