Halon Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 I get the impression that a lot of people record most if not all of their flights, I like to record them occasionally so I can see where I went right/wrong but what tends to happen is I don't have the cameras rolling when I really wish I did. For example last night I managed to give someone the slip on Finnish whilst in a PE-2 (probably one of my first times!) and I'd really like to figure out what went on from the interceptors point of view. Also the subsequent dive bombing appeared to be really successful but again I forgot about footage. So are people simply recording the whole flight, or hitting record intermittently when it comes to the key moments?
J2_Bidu Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 I'm usually recording the whole time. But after a while the game automatically drops the recording, I need to keep remembering to press record again (by the way the CTRL+R key combination is WAY TOO CLOSE to CTRL+E (jump!), you may want to change that...). To get a video recording (not a track) of your recent events, if you have Nvidia, there's a feature that you can activate that allows you to record your last 20 minutes on the press of a button: GeForce Experience -> Settings -> In-Game overlay -> Settings -> Keyboard shortcuts -> Toggle Instant Replay on/off. Of course this does not solve your problem of seeing the other guy's perspective. You'll just have to keep remembering. If it's really necessary to set a maximum size on your recording file, then it would be nice to have a feature that would break down the recording, so it would keep on rolling albeit creating several tracks.
JimTM Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 You could give this utility a try but it may not work anymore.
