bomkata Posted September 12, 2021 Posted September 12, 2021 so i have the winwing orion hotas and i am having issues with binding keys in this game. some of the switches on the throttle wont be recognized and some of the axis does get recognized. I am also having an issue where the key will be recognized in the binds but in the plane it will not work this only happens to switches on the base of the throttle and on the grip of the throttle i can bind things fine as well as the stick has no issues. Does anyone have this hotas and have been able to bind everything in IL2 that could help me out here as to what im doing wrong?
Sokol1 Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 Give a look in this forum, in what several people own and have experience with this throttle: https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/605-winwing/
Highwayman Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 I'm in a similar position with my Winwing Panels, but it's only with IL2. In Windows Control Panel, the Winwing Take Off Panel Gear lever shows as 3 distinct inputs for the gear lever Up = button 1 Neutral = button 2 Down = button 3 DCS and MSFS see these just fine and allow me to map them easily without any drama, but IL2 seems to see both up and down as button 1, and any movement from up or down toward the neutral position as button 2, but button 3 is nowhere to be found... I've worked around it by setting gear down as button 1, and gear up as the button 2 position, but it's very frustrating and ONLY IL2 sees it this way. I don't have this issue with any of my other controllers, they all behave as they should.
Lord_Pyro Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 I have that problem too. It's just the way how IL2 registers inputs.
Lord_Pyro Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 (edited) @Highwayman and today i solved it. Normally you would bring the switch to the center position and move it up, or down for binding. However in IL2 you have to do just the opposite. Move it from Up to Neutral and you get one Button and from Down to Neutral results in the other one. Edited March 29, 2022 by KGJ54Lord_Pyro
