Some suggestions

Good morning all ,

Some ideas :

German planes:

-Correct speed

-Bomb selector on "Aus" by default

Heinkel He 162 Flyable

General on all planes :

-Gunsight: on / off

-Radio on / off with more function with menus (taxi request, engine start, take off)

Thanks

I hope you're not suggesting that the Devs beefed up specifically all German planes?

If you've spotted an issue regarding speed on a specific model, you can bring it up, with documentation of course, in the Flight Model/AI forum: https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/forum/94-fm-ai-discussion/. Although I'm pretty sure it'll already have been discussed ad nauseam...

He-162 was already discussed in another thread pretty recently, and I think the chances of ever seeing it in-game are pretty slim.

IMO the bomb selector and gunsight would only add additional controls for functions very few users would use. I certainly wouldn't.

Regarding the radio, I agree, although I would personally prefer more combat options ("Help! Get 'em off my tail!", "Ground control, send a couple extra fighters" etc.).

Hi AEthelraedUnraed

I find the speed of German planes too low.

20 years ago ,there were already discussions about the P51, I do not want to create a new controversy. It' tiring

The Heinkel 162 was in IL2 the forgotten battle, it's sad to lose him like the PZL.

I don't understand the interest of turn on the collimator when starting the aircraft. The collimator must be turn on  before engaging  a dog fight it makes more sense.

Sorry for ma basic english  I am french.

Have a nice day

I'm astonished by this response, honestly. Which German planes do you feel are too slow and how much faster do you think they should be going? And then, if you please, on what basis do you think that they should be going faster than they are?

Well, as FrangibleCover already alludes to, there are many people who believe the opposite. Either way, the performance and supposed overpoweredness/underpoweredness of the German planes has been discussed ad nauseam. If you think you've got something to add, and can back it up with evidence, you're more than welcome to present your case in the Flight Model / AI forum.

There are a lot of aircraft that were in IL2 FB and not in the current IL2 series. The team is much too small to make them all, and they are choosing the quality over quantity road. Rather 1 aircraft with great 3d modeling than 5 mediocre ones. Hence, I don't think we'll ever see the He-162 since it was barely used, and only in the final weeks of the war.

Regarding the gun sight, I'm not sure if it makes more sense. I don't really see any reason not to turn it on right away; saves you the trouble when you need it.

Pas de problème. Il y a beaucoup des nationalités ici, alors on peut pas demander que tout le monde parle l'anglais sans erreurs. Pardon my French, it's been a while. :)

Although I respect this posters right to have an opinion, I too am just wondering where/how they came to the opinion the german planes are to slow.  I can tell you, it doesn't seem to matter what plane I am in,  I always seem to have the slowest plane in the air. Now, now being a real pilot, I can only assume it is somethong I am doing wrong. Although, nobody can seem to tell me what. Possibly the poster is in the same situation. The plane might not be the factor but the pilot. Not trying to bo insulting here. But I could be up there with an identical plane with me and the other plabe will outrun me every time. Doesn't matter which plane.  Just something to consider.

Amen to that.  I probably do not have it trimmed right, or I am using auto functions where manual would give me better performance, or I am yanking it around too hard and bleeding speed.  Even the German planes with their automated functions did not completely fly themselves.
