Hi milktoast thank you for your mod.

Two skins for the FW 190 A8 have holes in the texture for their tyre tread I don't have a screenshot to show them but it's the Lixfeld and 1./JG11 textures. Also from inside cockpit there is holes in the exhaust cowl area for the same aircraft pretty sure it's in all the textures.

Until Milktoast gets around to fixing them you are welcome to try these ones. I adjusted the Alpha layer to fix the problem.

Place them in the correct Bodenplatte Extra folder and overwrite the existing files.

They added 'blank' skins for listed planes and may have touched up existing skins, need to look into it. Update will be out some time after the 8th once I get time.

Edit: Update was just some ultra minor adjustments. ex. balkenkreuz now 7px taller. Frankly not worth the time, will come back to it in the future.

This mod is just fantastic, Milktoast!

 

Thank you for putting in the effort to create this.  Although I understand why 1C needed to use an alternate design for the swastika, I have always been put off by it, and avoided the Official skins as much as possible because of it.  But many of the Official skins are really nice, and you have made them complete for those of us where freedom of speech reigns supreme!

I downloaded "Extra" mod (3gb) mainly for swastikas,and it only shows on non-default skins (the default carrer skins are still regular non swastika).I just pasted the data file into game folder...is there something else that i need to do?

Yes, install the Default & Alternative  or the Complete packages. You can have those along with the Extra skins.

Yesterday I saw most of FW 190 A3 skins still have the censored swastika version. I was using the IL-2 enhanced version mod pack that includes HAS mod. Today I'll try again with the HAS mod alone to see if it works, but it is possible that in the last patches have changed the name of some skin files so it doesn't work?

I just tested the FW 190 A3 by selecting several skins at random in Quick Mission Builder, and by launching a FW 190 A3 career for Stalingrad. This historic skins mod is working as it should. I don't have any career mods currently installed (not even BoX Extended) so I'm testing against the default career files.

Testing in our multiplayer server with the IL-2 2-1 mod pack, only first 4 skins appear uncensored. From Leonhardt skin to the last, they appear censored.
Using HAS mod, Leonhardt skin still appears censored, but all other skins are ok.

Edit: in single player, the same skin works ok. Perhaps is some kind of incompatibility with different mods

May be of relevance to this. There is a workaround that gets Dserver to use server-side mods but it is not pretty. Although I did believe that skins are all client side, and each client sees what is loaded at their end for graphical stuff.
