15[Span.]/JG51Costa Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 Hi everyone. I am opening this post to see if we can help my brother (and squadron mate)to solve a problem with his Reverb G2. What happens to it is that it has a distortion problem and is that when it is inside the cabin the right side of the front panel is farther away than the left side. This has been happening to him since he unplugged the glasses and plugged them back in. I have tried to re-center the views but have not been able to fix it. I would like to uninstall everything related to VR and would like your advice on how to do it and which folders to delete. Thank you very much. 15(Span.)/JG51Costa.
SCG_Fenris_Wolf Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 (edited) Does the same appear in SteamVR Home or in another game than IL-2? If it only appears in IL-2, wipe IL-2 and all depending files and leftover folders. Make sure to backup \IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\input for later use. Delete in the Steam root folder /config/steamvr.vrsettings. Reboot, pray, reinstall. If it appears in any other game as well, proceed with wiping WMR environment data, then Mixed Reality Portal. In Steam wipe SteamVR, Mixed Reality for SteamVR plugin, in the Steam root folder /config/steamvr.vrsettings. Reboot, pray, reinstall. I suspect it to be the former... It may be a problem of IL-2 not properly detecting/reading/updating geometry. iMucha suerte! Edited August 7, 2021 by SCG_Fenris_Wolf
-332FG-Gordon200 Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 @15[Span.]/JG51CostaGo to Windows Settings and open Mixed Reality. Click on the Headset Display tab and scroll down to Experience Options and select "Best Visual Quality".
15[Span.]/JG51Costa Posted August 7, 2021 Author Posted August 7, 2021 Thank you very much for your quick responses. Tomorrow, when I go to my brother's house, it will be the first thing I will do and let you know the result. Saludos. 15(Span.)/JG51 Costa 1
SCG_Fenris_Wolf Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 Good idea. He may not have exhausted the settings there yet. Try as Gordon said, also delete the Environmental Data, restart everything, and give it a try
