Trooper117 Posted July 28, 2021 Posted July 28, 2021 Now the question has to be asked... what happens when a chicken nugget hits you in the head travelling at terminal velocity?
Shakey60 Posted July 28, 2021 Posted July 28, 2021 A little too close to that open door without a safety harness and possible turbulence for my liking. Scientific experiments can be risky! And I suddenly have the munchies for some reason.

BraveSirRobin Posted July 28, 2021 Posted July 28, 2021 Not sure about chicken nuggets, but this is an account of Turkeys at terminal velocity. WKRP Thanksgiving
Charlo-VR Posted July 28, 2021 Posted July 28, 2021 (edited) On Saturday one of my hearing aids fell out of my helmet near an open aircraft door on a Twin Otter. I was very fortunately sitting against the opposite side of the plane so the slipstream didn't whip it outside. Hearing aids cost $3,000 each! ? Edited July 29, 2021 by Charlo-VR
ST_Catchov Posted July 28, 2021 Posted July 28, 2021 Oh Duh! But would it work with a Quarter Pounder? 1
DD_Arthur Posted July 29, 2021 Posted July 29, 2021 So basically this is a video of a guy who throws his trash out of an aeroplane? 1

Monostripezebra Posted July 30, 2021 Posted July 30, 2021 But now, what is the terminal velocity of vegan vegetable nuggets? I feel they are not doing propper science..
Bremspropeller Posted July 30, 2021 Posted July 30, 2021 Oh boy, Captain Dan has made it to the IL-2 forums. Better tape that airspeed indicator! 1

Ever since he was on FlightChops I followed him. This Crash demonstrates his Method and Message quite well. He survived a Crash unscathed that could have gone worse.

This Crash demonstrates his Method and Message quite well. He survived a Crash unscathed that could have gone worse. Me, too. Initially. I also liked his video with Aviation101, but that's where he started getting weird. His "Designated Minimum Maneuvering Speed" p1ssed me off. Not because it was a wrong idea, but because he provided negative training in insisting that "maneuvering airspeed" was a minimum airspeed. He could literally have picked any other designation (like calling it "minimum approach" or "minimum pattern"), but he decided to use a designation that already existed and that was well defined. Even worse: Pilots had just begun to realise that maneuvering airspeed wasn't just a maximum, but thex also learned that it in fact is even only true for symmetric g. Use two overlaying control inputs or dynamic loads (see AA587) and you'll bust your structure even easier. And then he started making weird videos, generally stealing my time (watching, hoping you'd learn something, which you didn't). And then he came up with the "CSP blanketing the horizontal stabilizer" hypothesis. Oh and the part where he hypothesised only hours after a Citation went down that the pilot was a fraud and tried exing himself. Sounds reasonable coming from a guy who tried to run over a couple of cops in his Dc-3. Yeah. Seems like the perfect guy to get your daily dose of safety-stuff from... 2
Bremspropeller Posted August 25, 2021 Posted August 25, 2021 I think @ZachariasX really needs those shades! If he put slats on the prop, he could ultra-STOL... 1
ZachariasX Posted August 26, 2021 Posted August 26, 2021 Who needs the right stuff when you can have those shades? „Dinosaur Whiskey Flying Club“ completes the picture. Not only the engines perform better with ethanol injection. 10 hours ago, Bremspropeller said: If he put slats on the prop, he could ultra-STOL... Ab-so-lutely. But don‘t forget the wing struts. Only then will lift go up to 11. Maybe one should call Mike Patey? 1
6./ZG26_Klaus_Mann Posted August 26, 2021 Author Posted August 26, 2021 Needs these and 50kw Hub Engines. STOL Sandrail

Na-zdorovie Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 maybe it was a trick and he was really flying upside down, and they would have whent forwards lol
