Hello

Can anyone tell me what is the name of the control and which is the key to open or close the cowl flaps on P 47 in Il2 Great Battles?  Thanks

Outlet Cowl Flaps

Engines outlet cowl shutters control = LAlt + equals to open  LAlt + Minus to close, it's the same for all aircraft that have them.  P-47 also uses the Inlet Cowl settings, and Water Radiator settings.

No, it also uses the inlet Cowl Flaps command, which in reality is the control for the intercoolers. The only radiator command used by the P-47 is for the oil radiator.

@Azdack

Here you can find all the cooling bindings from my Target script (they match default IL2 GB bindings):

Open_Oil_Radiator - R_WIN + =
Close_Oil_Radiator - R_WIN + -

Open_Water_Radiator - R_CTL + =
Close_Water_Radiator - R_CTL + -

Open_Outlet_Cowl_Flaps - L_ALT + -
Close_Outlet_Cowl_Flaps - L_ALT + +

Open_Inlet_Cowl_Flaps - L_CTL + -
Close_Inlet_Cowl_Flaps - L_CTL + +

I confess, i never really fiddle with these settings manually.

I like most planes, and to remember all those particular plane things is not something my old brain handles well .

I have been trying the P47s recently and was a little amazed about when and why these cowl flaps open and close automatically. Seem to close at higher altitudes.

BTW tried to shoot down some nazi Bfs with both P47 types, different weapons; seems a lot easier with Hurricanes or Spitfires.
