[Soto Cinematics] Longchamps v. Gestapo - Raid on Gestapo HQ, 20th January, 1943

Hi everyone, 

 

After a bit of a hiatus here is my newest video on the famous attack on the Gestapo HQ in Brussels by Baron Jean de Selys Longchamps. On 20th January, 1943, Flying Officer Longchamps attacked the Gestapo HQ in Brussels, his unauthorised attacked being motivated by the torture and death of his father at the hands of the Gestapo.

Thanks for the historical clarification! I did not know that! I always thought that there was only the attack by four aircraft from the 105th Squadron on the Gestapo headquarters in Oslo on September 25, 1942.

Yes, well to be fair this was an unauthorised attack so it may not be as well known. That operation looks interesting though, maybe I'll make a video on it once we have the Mosquito :).

There were also an attack 31 October 1944 in Aarhus - Denmark , against gestabo 

The university in Aarhus were gestabo had a headquarter

24 bombers and 8 fighters
