fw-190 A8 radio communication missing?

i have jsut noticed that only fw-190 A8 have no radio communication sound 

while all the other aircraft works fine

is it a bug?

i tested this on the same map and same airfiled 

A5 has it but when i take out A8 there's no sound 

so i tested A8 on the other airfield also on the other maps

it still has no sound and massage coming up

 

i'm referring to those little massage on the left side with the voice 

requesting taxi to runway or clearance for take off kinda maasgae

I do have radio comms in the Fw-190 A8, so it must be something on your side.

 

What mission did you notice this? A quick mission or career mission, or one created by yourself? I believe the callsign needs to be assigned for the radio to work.

i'm pretty sure that it's not just for me

i completely re-install the game to chekc this out 

and the problem is still persistnece 

maybe it's the bug for Steam Downloaded version of this game

 

it's quick mission

throughout all map and all the airfiled what so ever 

it doens't have sound and the chatter

And I'm pretty sure that everything works fine on my side. Just tested it, and the A8 has radio like every other plane. I use Steam as well, so that's not the problem either.

 

Do you use any mods? They don't get disabled by a re-install, so if it's a mod that messes things up it'll still be there.

 

Otherwise, can you post the generated mission file (data/Missions/_gen.mission or _gen.msnbin, and _gen.eng)? Then I can see if there's something wrong with it that might cause this.

but i'm very sensitive about privacy 

i re-installed it again just to see if the problem is still there 

and yeah it's still there 

but it's not a big deal for me 

i wrote this to report the bug to the devs

@NoelGallagher Check your settings in key mapping > plane controls near the bottom. There are two items for turning radio volume up and down.

You may have lowered the radio volume at some point for the A8.

I can understand that you're sensitive about privacy, I am so myself. But there is no identifyable personal information at all inside the mission files. You can put the .mission in a .zip file and upload right here as an attachment to a post. That way there's no way anyone here can figure out any of your personal details

 

There's no bug to report to the devs since it is working for other people and therefore must be something wrong with your specific configuration.

 

But first try QB.Gordon200's solution I thought the radio volume was a global setting, but if it's indeed per-plane then this might indeed be the cause.

Posting a mission file doesn’t compromise your privacy. I’m curious where your head is at here.

Unlikely that it is your game install, more likely that it is the mission config. Some missions do not give you the ability to use the radio, hence you should give us some more info: Either the mission itself or if it is by QMB then how you set it up.

I fly a career as I./JG 26 using Fw 190 A8s and I have radio chatter all the time, so it is no general problem.

oaky guys i tested it again with what QB.Gordon200 suggested me to do 

and i noticed that it only happens when i set the option to "park"

if i set the option to runway then i was able to control the radio volumes and also hear the radio chatters 

but whenver i set the option to park i was not able to manage radio volume at all(when i start the engine it still says "radio on")

 

and if i test the A5 model then i was able to manage the radio volume as soon as the engine turned on

I can confirm the issue posted by NoelGallagher.

 

If I create a very simple single mission in the mission editor and set the aircraft property to "on parking" I can not hear the radio messages for taxiing, taking off or landing. I tested this issue in a FW190A6 and FW190A8. Increase the radio volume and change the radio channel does not help to hear the radio messages. If I set the aircraft property to "on runway" I can hear the radio messages. I think this is really a bug.
