DN308 Posted June 17, 2021 Posted June 17, 2021 I’ve read in the @JimTMmanual that a MCU CommandAttackArea could be OL to an AI plane and not the whole flight. In fact, it works but just one time. I made a rest mission with that, but after the first bomb run, the other bombers don’t attack the next area. They stay with bomb bay open but don’t bomb. And another question: the Add Report onTargetAttacked can be used to trigger a waypoint, even if the bomber is not bingo bombs?

The reports can be linked to anything, I think. At least that has been my experience so far. Current order will countermand the previous order if they conflict. Example: I am going to a waypoint. Before I get there an attack area triggers. The waypoint command is cancelled and superseded by the attack area. A minute later something in the mission (maybe onTargetAttacked ) triggers a timer linked to a waypoint. Now the attack is cancelled and the next waypoint is active.
DN308 Posted June 27, 2021 Author Posted June 27, 2021 I don’t use Attack target ´cause I don’t want my bomber to dive and go out of the formation. Well, I mean, I ´m afraid of that. I should try that. actually, when running the mission, the linked bomber bombs or not the objective (don’t know why and I have to launch at least one bomb myself to trigger the objective). But after that, the whole flight is linked to an attack area and nothing happens. The wingmen don’t bomb at all. i will try your suggestion and let you know about the result. Thanks for your help and advice
PatrickAWlson Posted June 27, 2021 Posted June 27, 2021 What I do for level bombing is AttackArea and Attack Ground. Then I position it right over a target with a very small radius. The bombers will drop in that small radius. obviously does work with moving targets. Then again, high altitude level bombing itself did not work with moving targets, so it's fairly realistic.
