While online and moving into a town , in my panzer ,  some one jumped into my gunners seat .

I then could not access my role as my gunner , so I asked him to leave .

Then the gunner is dead red icons  . But We are not in contact and there is no battle taking place , ie no one is firing at use .

The player then left . !!!

BUT i still could not access my role as the gunner seems the role is dead or injured (Red icons) .

So it looks like if a player is injured and jumper into a role in my tank , he brings with him the injured account .

This don't make sense to me . How is that possible .

if the shooter is dead, it seems logical not to be able to access this post anymore ... i don't understand the "bug"?

to avoid this inconvenience, go to the options, select the option "gunner station", or something like that and uncheck the box "allow people to come in the tank" ...

I can be wrong, but this checkbox has to forbid to everyone join your tank/plane by default..

You are right Lofte, you will have to reverse the process before someone can join your tank again.

From @KoN_ description, it is not clear for me if the player died, or if he just left. But my question would be if a player joins your tank as the gunner and then leaves/disconnects without getting killed in battle, would the owner of the tank be allowed to access the gunners position again?

But if he is dead how can he access my Tank . ? that's the Bug . ?

Remember I am moving , the guy who jumped into my tank must of come from another tank but was injured . ? So doing so has killed my gunner as the post is no longer available to me . See what I'm saying . I had to respawn as the Gunner was no longer Available .

I was with a group of 3 other guys a few days back, and we saw some very strange graphical behavior. And at one point, one of the guys gets spawned into a different tank and had to exit/rejoin the game again. A couple of us were also kicked from the session for being idle too long, even though we were all in the same tank driving around.

It appears that when someone joins as gunner in a driving tank, most of the time he gets killed (maybe the gunner 3d model hits the tank 3d model because of the lags), so it is not a good idea to leave it opened ...

There used to be a bug like this in RoF.  If someone spawned into the gunner position after the aircraft started moving, the gunner died.

Help a slow guy out? I can't for the life of me find where to set this.

I'm a single player who sometimes drops into MP but really dislike it when others join my tank unannounced.

Once inside the tank, hit Escape, click gunner stations and have a look at the options in there.
