cardboard_killer Posted October 3, 2021 Posted October 3, 2021 Got some new neighbors last year. Got up one morning and there was what I thought was my cat in their house looking out the window. I wasn't sure how I was going to break him out of there. Turns out that all ginger cats look alike. 6 3

Pict Posted October 19, 2021 Posted October 19, 2021 (edited) Great photos, thanks for sharing them, sorry for those who have lost. Not enough likes to go around. I just spotted this thread, so I thought I'd throw my cat in the ring, so to speak... Peshka She's quite a charcter and like other have said, gets in the mix when your flying and seems to know that rubbing her head on my TrackIR camera will get her noticed She has a thing for towels and I caught this commando roll on camera by chance... S!Blade<>< Very common paint scheme, Penny is from south Georgia circa 2010. When we got her as a kitten she had a lot of respiratory problems from crop dusting (she was born in or near a big cotton field down there) but she's still going strong nearly 12 years later. 1

I'll note that full ginger tabbies are usually male cats. Quote *This is because the “ginger gene” which produces the orange color is on the X chromosome. Females have two X chromosomes and so need two copies of this gene to become ginger, whereas males need only one. This means there are roughly three males to one female ginger cat. Ginger tom cats father tortoiseshell or ginger females. If both parents are ginger, then they will have all ginger kittens as well.

cardboard_killer Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 Strangely enough, my cat completely ignores boxes. I don't think I have ever seen him get in one, despite my best efforts.
itsbillyfrazier Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 Nice looking cat @ Therion...although he looks pretty angry...he is probably a bit like myself and doesn't like his picture being taken ?
cardboard_killer Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 Local area weather; so of course my cat had to go outside to enjoy a shower, come back in side and get me wet. 1

Well, it's actually a girl - my girl. Or should I better say I belong to her... might be more precise, I think... And yes, you're right, she does not like being taken on picture.
itsbillyfrazier Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 So this little guy turned up on my door on a cold dark night about two weeks ago. No idea how he got there but his constant meowing saved his life as I heard him through my headset. I went outside to investigate with my torch thinking it was a neighbors cat in distress, but it turned out to be this kitten. I think he is probably less than two months old. Still haven't given him a name yet... But I'm happy he turned up as I was missing our old cat who died in December 2020. He even looks a bit like our old cat. He has lifted my mood quite a bit since he dropped in, so I'm happy we found each other. 3 5
