Hartigan Posted June 2, 2021 Posted June 2, 2021 What does this mean from an IL2 perspective? Is there any effect?
dburne Posted June 2, 2021 Posted June 2, 2021 No, the game would have to support Open XR. Only one I have that does is MSFS 2020.
Hartigan Posted June 2, 2021 Author Posted June 2, 2021 Thanks for the answer. But why would i need this feature when playing MSFS20? if it doesn´t need Steamvr anyway?

It is just an alternative to Steam VR that helps some in the performance department. It is not necessarily needed. 1
Guest deleted@134347 Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 you can turn it on and IL2 will launch, but the image won't be converged and you'll feel cross-eyed. Not recommended ? @dburne is correct!
Tiernan Posted February 14, 2022 Posted February 14, 2022 (edited) oh dear, I've just stupidly done this, any idea how i fix it ? I've reset Current OpenXR Runtime back to Windows Mixed Reality in SteamVR but it still looks the same and awful ? Edited February 15, 2022 by Tiernan excluded info
Tiernan Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 got it sorted thankfully, I did a Windows 10 restore point from the previous day
Hartigan Posted February 23, 2022 Author Posted February 23, 2022 Or you can download OpenXR Tools for Windows Mixed Reality software and reset it from there.
AcidBath Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 The MS Mixed Reality Portal app also can restore the WMR OpenXR runtime. It will prompt you to do so right after it starts up if it detects that the currently installed OpenXR runtime is not WMR.
