Stalingrad city with undamaged blocks experiment. Tried to fix blown up Railway bridges along the Volga.

The first one works OK, but at the second bridge the train travels underneath the bridge, and pops up after it also looses some wagons.

Can't get it right, tried aligning all sorts of blocks and block combinations for this second bridge.

The biggest problem also seem to be that you cannot adjust railway bridge bock heights. Maybe some one knows a trick for that? HELP WANTED HERE !!

The GAZ truck is used for sight seeing, too many Waypoints set, the third triggers the trains. Too many GAZ truck waypoints at the beginning here, route should be longer.

You could replace it with a tank? There are two view camera points set (F12-F11). Orr lock your camera view to the trains with F5?

You could use my no explosions mod, the dummy explosions for Stalingrad and Arras are gone them, gives you some peace of mind maybe .. (use JSGME?)

Have fun !

ADDED: in the mission editor you cannot change height for a bridge, bot can you do tah manually in the mssion file?

Bridge
{
  Name = "Bridge";
  Index = 11253;
  LinkTrId = 0;
  XPos = 133109.411;
  YPos = 36.423;
  ZPos = 255690.299;
  XOri = 0.00;
  YOri = 30.36;
  ZOri = 0.00;
  Model = "graphics\bridges\bridge_big_1.mgm";
  Script = "LuaScripts\WorldObjects\Bridges\bridge_big_1.txt";
  Country = 0;
  Desc = "";
  Durability = 25000;
  DamageReport = 50;
  DamageThreshold = 1;
  DeleteAfterDeath = 1;
}

Just tested and I think the answer is No...

I changed the height in the mission file but both get loaded at the same ground height.

Did you remember to delete the .msnbin file before reloading the map?  I'm not saying it'll work, but the editor always reads the msnbin if present.

No,  i did not know that. will try again but i don't think it will work.

It would be great if the y co-ord was unlocked for all objects, like the new blimps can be set any altitude.

would mean tanks / gun units could be placed on bridges and secret bunkers placed half way up mountains :) like the old 46 editor. objects could be dragged anywhere. I remember putting a battleship half way up a hill for a "Guns of Naverone" type mission!

The y value is saved but the only effect is to raise the object's icon in 3D view.

Does the train run through your bridge correctly before the bridge is damaged?

You can place things no the mountains. :)

When Kuban first hit beta I built a little secret airbase, complete with a hangar, on top of a snowy peak - just messing around.

I also have guns on peaks in the actual campaign.

I have an entire (multiplayer) mission where there's objectives in the mountains. We played the mission a few weeks ago on Friday Night Flights. Dive bombing an objective, that was covered by a thick cloud layer, cause many people to crash into the sides of mountains... It was a lot of fun! '

Here's the mission, so you can reverse engineer (or borrow any of my elements):

Here's the mission brief (made by @41Sqn_Riksen):

Here's a really cool video of the mission by @Wim
