inarum Li-2 und C-47/A , viel besser wäre es gewesen C-47/A und Ilyschin -4  ?

Why not both?

At least a lot of research on the C-47 can be used to assist the Li-2... also the Li-2 is useful as a transport aircraft in several modules, the Il-4... not so much.

Something else I realised is that the Il-4 were generally directed against targets in the enemy rear (and often stationed some distance from the front)... so it is often hard to find both airfields and targets for them on the same map (even if they would be overflying the map. I think Velikiye Luki might be an exception (at least it was a major target).

We don't even have the plane itself! You know, DN308, I'd be happy to have the C-47 among my flyables even if the dropable paratroopers feature is not yet available at release of the aircraft. This being said, I refuse to put the developers under pressure. The C-47 will be ready when it will be ready. I say... patience!

The C-47  was announced for pre-order in May of 2021.  It's dang near 2023, we've been patient.  "I refuse to put the developers under pressure"?.... I think its awesome you actually think the developers are still even reading this thread to even feel "pressured" ?

Yes, you missed that it's been in the game as an AI plane for quite a while now. ?

At this point in pretty sure someone pulled out the usb without doing the safety ejection first and they had to start over. That's what I'm going with until I see it

Just a quick update on the C-47.

I know that many of you are anxiously waiting for it's release, but it is being modeled by a third party and it has had some delays.  At this time, the planned release is sometime before the end of this year. But we do not have an exact date yet and I would hate to tell you a day and have that get missed. Hang in there, the waiting is almost over.

It may have been covered but is the c47 going to be part of a larger Map, campaign module with collector planes or simply be standalone aircraft?

To check this out you simply need to go to the official website ( https://il2sturmovik.com/ ) click on "Store" and check the list of "Collector Planes". lf the C-47 doesn't appear in any of the Premium editions (Stalingrad, Moscow, Kuban, Bodenplatte & Normandy... and it doesn't indeed) but nevertheless appears in the list of collector planes... then it simply is a collector plane only.

Thanks Guys. I looked but wasn't sure it was a part of a larger module that was coming. I guess if it was that would be announced too.

I was trying to figure out what comes with the Premium editions from the lists and its a bit hard to keep track of especially when you get into which ones can be played across multiple campaigns. Pretty cool though ...  just need more modules lol

Here you have a synoptic all-in-one view of all the currently available content (some stuff still is in development though):

Try buying those aircraft at that quality on any other platform.

I guarantee that there would be a colossal difference in your bank account.

I struggle sometimes to understand the basis of some peoples postings on this forum.

Wow, thank you so much for this list !!!

BTW this is only ... half.

If you fly 2D and VR, like me, then in fact you own DOUBLE the content as VR versions are different/improved and IMHO even more valuable (and *a lot* of work invested in those too, I'm sure!).

So in fact we pay ... only half for everything we buy.

I you count in the frequent sales then everything IL-2 related is a bargain like no other.

I am so looking forward to the C-47 (like everyone I guess).

So will the c-47 be automatically integrated into any campaigns that it was historically accurate in.

The campaign would be able to generate say paratrooper missions across normandy for instance in BON and you would be able to do pilot career?

Im not sure how the standalone planes function or if they are more for created scenarios.

You can do all this with the Ju-52... I'd see no reason why it would be any different with the Dak...

The real question is, can the C47 be looped?  Being the BlitzPigs that we are, we fully intend to find out, and I am certain many more unspeakable things will be attempted in the Douglas.

All in the name of science of course.
