AKA_Big10 Posted April 23, 2021 Posted April 23, 2021 Before patch I could *.* and see mission files and after patch I cannot?
AKA_Big10 Posted April 23, 2021 Author Posted April 23, 2021 It's through the mission editor, you could bring up the folder and *.* and see the mission file. That is gone now, I even tried the resave mission tool and made no difference.

That's the folder that stores missions downloaded from the Combat Box server, so maybe the missions were cleared when you updated? They would not normally be included with the game.

I can see the .msnbin files. You can generate a .mission file from a .msnbin file by opening the .msnbin file in the editor (use *.* to see the file in the open dialog) and saving it as a .mission file. Note that server admins delete the .mission file so it is not downloaded to players, saving a lot of time for big missions. Edited April 23, 2021 by JimTM
AKA_Big10 Posted April 23, 2021 Author Posted April 23, 2021 Before patch you could see the mission file in the Alonzo folder using *.* and see the actual mission files. You could open that up in the editor. I was using them as a training add to understand the mission editor. I am unable to play the actual Combat Box server so I would just add an air spawn and do the ground pounding. 3 hours ago, RedKestrel said: Are you looking specifically for the folder marked "Alonzo" or just for the ability to see all mission files using *.*? You need to open the .msnbin file in the editor. You can then save it as a .mission file if you like. Note that you can open only .msnbin files that were saved after the last game update (unless you have an older .mission file, in which case, you can click Tools menu > Save All Files in Folder to generate a new .mission file that you can open). See "Edit a Mission Without the Mission Source File" on pg. 48 of the editor manual. Edited April 23, 2021 by JimTM

As far as I know, yes (unless someone knows of a secret method or has the original or updated .mission file). Of course, you can always join Combat Box when they run the mission you are interested in, which will give you a fresh .msnbin file under Alonzo. Edited April 25, 2021 by JimTM 1
