ive been trying to figure it out and have gotten more confused...

Is it online multi player only with a miserable offline experience as some posts make it out as?  Im not able to do online play due to connection issues.

And is there a page somewheres that shows the full category of planes you can fly and the ones you can only shoot at? Same with ships?

There's a huge variety of single player missions in this game. The dynamic campaigns section is under development but in the meantime a software provides a set of campaigns that is being very successful among the players. Click here, you'll see.

"The ones you can only shoot at" we call them the "AI only" aircraft ("AI" stands for "artificial intelligence"). If you want a complete list of aircraft in this game (flyable and AI), go to (link below):

If everything goes well, Fw 190 A-1, Fw 190 A-2, Fw 190 A-3 should be included in the next add-on (no title nor theater of operations have been announced yet, but the devs have announced those three Antons are in the planeset.

Sure, why not. Go back to the lists, you'll see types you can configure as interceptors.

Have fun!

The 190A-5 did not exist till 1943.

The modules which have been released cover the Battle of Britain, (1940) and the war in the Desert til early 1942.  (TOBRUK)

There are plenty of current in game aircraft which can be used as bomber killers... the Beaufighter's four 20mm and six .303's will chew them out of the sky, the Spitfire V's, Bf-109's (including the F-4 with 20mm nose cannon and 20mm gunpods) the Ju-88C-4 Late, (with multiple 20mm and multiple 7.92mm) the Bf-110, etc.

it better be a wonderful game my man. Saw a few video reviews that made it FEEL like how red baron did when you had to start the plane up, take off, and try to fight off an air raid on your airfield.

But the downloading is a buggering im not enjoying. blitz a 8.6 gb beast, after a 260 mg forced download from steam itself.. oh its slow and is going to kill my internet for a while. at least ive bought both games at the sale.. oddly the sale will be over before i have BOX updated and dover and tobruk installed
